I know this is not an every day treat. But check it out... They are made from whole black beans and whole grain rice.
5 grams of fiber, 4 grams of complete protein, for 10 chips... And they taste good. When nothing else will do... These might.

I don't know why you call this a "cheat" as it is excellent. While no food should be consumed day in and day out without a break, there is no reason this could not be a regular enjoyment.

It's all whole food and perfectly balanced. They seem to have been very carefully formulated (although I'd prefer organic but they are non-GMO with other careful specifics).

I would inquire further, though, about the "natural smoke flavor" in the Chipotle chips. Call them and get details. "Natural flavors" can be code for MSG - sometimes, but not always.

There are other brands of black bean chips on the market, too.

Thanks Kudzu. I make nachos for my family and just had to enjoy nacho salad without the chips.

These chips would enable me to have nachos like the rest of the family.

I knew I had to share with my Lyme friends when I found them. Keebler, you made me feel even better. It's the rice in them I thought may be hard on those with yeast issues.

Our store just had the chipolte. And they are good, but I am hoping to find the plain and try them. Have to say, they really taste/feel like a reel corn chip.

Can you buy them online??

How much per bag?

http://www.snackwarehouse.com/chips-beanitos.html 3.95 a bag. Not cheap, but not kale chip expensive.

I think vitacost had them for less 3.14. .

And for portion control...here's 24 1.25 bags for $31

The blue corn chips I buy are 7.5 oz .. Can't remember the usual price, but our store has had them for $3.95 recently.

May try them out and if I like them, I'll buy from Amazon. Gotta figure in the shipping too, though.

Thanks for info!

PS.. Where would I put 24 bags...? [Big Grin]

Hello ~ i enjoy beanitos as well. And i agree with Keebler whole heartedly ~

Yes, we each have to feel into what is right to eat, yet overly restrictive diets can also create psychological and physical havoc.

There is another brand of chips that i've recently discovered with very similar ingredients. They are called, "Beanfields". Completely delicious, also made with non-gmo rice and beans and sea salt (there are other flavors as well).

No matter what medications or herbs or supplements we take, kindness is probably the most important medicine of all.

May we be gentle and kind with ourselves~
