They deleted our KY. comments because they could not stand to hear the truth.

Did they just delete the one's they wanted? There's still comments posted after the article.

No they deleted all of them a few days ago. Now just showing 3 new posts.
Somebody got somebodies ear at the CJ. I wouldn't expect anything better from the CJ.

People from the area should keep writing comments until they get the message.
My son is in the next state and thinks he doesn't have to worry about this dreaded disease even when he has deer in his backyard. Posted by Rivendell (Member # 19922) on :
I was surprised they mentioned the doctor's name and location. Isn't that a big No-No?
I guess the doctor was okay with that? Considering what has happened to some LLMD's, it concerns me.
I'm glad Dr. Phil did a show about this. Maybe we can crack this thing wide open.

And the Courier Journal is more open-minded than a lot of newspapers. A shame the comments were deleted.
I can't imagine this article being printed in the Indianapolis Star.

Rivendell... a lot of articles contain names of LLMDs... it's up to them whether or not to be interviewed.
I was not allowed to read this article. It is blocked.

Thanks Lymetoo.
I was just confused because we all keep the info so confidential.
I am glad that the article on Lyme was published, just a little scared. Don't want to lose that good doctor.
Why couldn't you read the article? I'm confused again, but I'm having a lot of brain fog lately.
I live in this area, and someone handed me the newspaper with this article on the front page headlines. So Wow!
Well, when I get better, I hope to attend this support group.

I know.. I'm protective of my LLMD and I haven't even seen him in 3 yrs.
When I go to the site, it shows the headlines and it's all clouded looking. A window pops up saying you have to subscribe or log in.
When I close that, I go to the newspaper page, but the article is not there... at least not that I can find.
Posted by Rivendell (Member # 19922) on :
I take it that you logged in first.
If so, it is really weird that the article isn't there. HMMM... They better not be intentionally blocking their front page piece.
Well, I've got a copy of the newspaper.

I had trouble viewing the article as well. I found that if I did a google search for "courier journal lyme" I was able to access it.
I'm glad to see an article about lyme in Kentucky. It's not that far from where I contracted the disease, and we are seeing deer ticks in the area now, and I never did when I was growing up in Southern Indiana.
I'm also glad to see that people are reposting whatever comments were deleted.

One question --
the article says the doctor put her patient on 35 oral antibiotics!!! That sounds like a LOT! I don't think I've ever been on more than 3-4 at one time. Maybe they meant that she tried 35 different ones before switching to IV.
Posted by Rivendell (Member # 19922) on :
Yeah, I was concerned about that.
Thought that might raise some eyebrows of the wrong people.
That probably was a misquote, or like you said, not taking them all at once, but different trials.

Not 35 abx. Maybe 35 combination of abx, supps, herbs, vit etc. I belive it was 3 different abx, so many times a day.
