Last year I had a positive Lymes antibody test, however none of the bands were reactive so my neurologist dismissed it. I have been gradually getting worse with my symptoms. Visual snow, anxiety, depersonalization, unable to drive because the road now looks like it's slanting downward and I feel like I am on a roller coaster. I keep getting these moments where I feel like I crazy. Crazy thoughts, crazy feelings. This all started in 2006 after getting so sick. The dr's thought I had strep, but both tests were negative. I was treated with antibiotics and after I stopped all of this mess started. Anxiety out the butt, dizziness. I have also had a thyroid disorder since I was 19, I am now 30. I was wondering, is it possible that my high thyroid antibodies could cause a positive lyme test? Or does the test only pick up lyme antibodies? My neuro really wasn't interested in looking into this and in fact I no longer see him. I started seeing him after I got the visual snow and migraines which were daily. I am now on medicine for that and it has given me back a portion of my life.
Thank you all and God bless! Candi

Well, I only know of a VERY FEW (handful) neuros who know anything at all about Lyme.
What test did you have?? Not sure how you got a positive with no bands??
You need to find a Lyme Literate MD and get checked for possible coinfections as well. You could have bartonella and/or babesiosis. Those need to be checked.
I'm moving this to Medical where you will get more info and help.
