Such a stressful week. Have been so worried about my sister.
My brother was able to talk to her finally this afternoon. She is OK - not sick.
I will remain worried until she is safely at home.
How can I calm myself down? I have stressed myself into what feels like a cold. With my wacky immune system - I never can tell.
An immune deficient person can have a cold with no sneezing? I get so cold - got chilled the other night after washing my hair. I did not dry it completely right away. Sore throat etc.
Stressed talking to nurses etc about switching from IVIG to SCIG. I am so rattled they probably wonder if I could manage it.

- I can't imagine how I would have fared. I hear they will disembark tomorrow morning.
Well, at least now you've got lots of good ideas for gifts for her now, eh? I was just looking for wedding gifts for my neice at this site and stumbled upon this:
LifeStraw personal water filter straw -

Tks K. I am thinking I would throw away almost everything I brought onboard ship. Though I would not been on a cruise ship in the first place.
My last phone conversation with my sister before she left I was snippy with her. Struggling with health problems and I needed her to do something for me. She said, "can't - going on a cruise".
I responded "well have a nice cruise". Feeling sorry for myself. The contrast between her lifestyle and mine now - polar opposites. Sometimes that hits me hard.
That phone conv. has haunted me since.

Well, you didn't know. But hey, this experience might make her a little sympathetic to hardships others are going through! I would suggest you offer her some TLC...

UGH!! So sorry to hear!! If I'd been on that ship I'd probably be dead by now. Don't think I could handle that stress!
Hope she is A-OK! Try to relax, susan! Posted by Keebler (Member # 12673) on :
- I was born to be a contingency planner. That "be prepared" motto from scouts could serve the cruise industy well. Just a few thoughts:
All suitcases should include a water filtration system.
Maybe they will get away from the typical methods of waste removal. There has to be a better way. Those living "off-grid" would be great advisors. -

So glad that your sisters is ok!
All the news of the cruise ship brought back all the memories of my husband and I being on the burning Carnival cruise ship "Ecstasy"
The interesting part is I couldn't shake this feeling that something bad was going to happen on our cruise months before we went....
Asked all of my friends to pray for us - as this was a surprise anniversary cruise my husband set up...
Almost everything in me did not want to go...
I even went to our pastor and told him that something bad was going to happen to either or plane or the ship - I just didn't know which one.
A few days later, they saw our burning cruise ship on CNN
Very scary stuff - I didn't think we would make it....(because of the way things were handled) and we weren't that far away from shore when it caught on fire.
But...they took us out further to sea, to get out of the jurisdiction of the U.S.
Then the engine room went...three floors of the ship were burnt towards the back of the ship.
there is a lot more I could say....but I am so thankful that your sister is ok!
Praying that this may be a life-changing experience for her (in a good way) I know my burning ship experience was for me....
Just know that she will probably be in a "different" state of mind for a while after she gets home.... and that it brings the two of you closer.
