I haven't been on the forum for a while. I moved to Philly from Michigan last October and feel like I am finally started to come back around.
I had taken a break from treatment for a few months after a trip to Hong Kong-probably not the smartest thing to do-and am just recently back into it with a new doctor that uses rife and homeopaths and things are going well.
I'm working on trying to roll with the punches, seeking happiness in the small things, and go on with the hope that someday I will be well enough to work.
I so miss feeling like a contributing member of society and though my husband is patient and wonderful I would love to be able to add to the household income, let alone experience the confidence of having a job.
But, all in good time-and of course learning that my self esteem does not need to be linked to working or not working and that my intelligence can grow by learning what I need to learn from having Lyme.
Regardless, I wanted to say hello again and post an update. We are liking Philadelphia, getting out when the herxes allow, and improving, sometimes just in fractions of fractions but still improving, day by day.

I grew up outside of Philly in Bucks County. If you have the energy you should check out some really fun places like New Hope and Dolyestown.
But be careful of those ticks!!!!!

Yeah, it's a shame you went from one tick-infested state to an even more tick-infested state. Posted by Robin123 (Member # 9197) on :
What you say is so true - thx for coming back -

Thanks Everyone! Glad to be back with such caring people!
DesertWind-I really like New Hope! I've walked around the area a few times and love all the shops. I've found the locals to be very friendly.
I need to explore Doylestown but I did find a really nice lavender farm not too far from there I think called Peace Valley Lavender. I picked up some plants for my tiny little garden and some good essential oil that helps me feel a little better during bad herxes.
I love the area-so much history, all the museums, beautiful places to drive to-though my husband does the driving since it's a little taxing on my energy and focus. I love exploring as much as I can so it's a good place to be.
Lymetoo-it made me nervous knowing I was moving to such an infested area, but, on the bright side, I've found a lyme awareness here that Michigan never had and a really good doctor too. Maybe I just had to go into the lion's den to find what I've been looking for Posted by Atta (Member # 30786) on :
Robin-Thanks for breaking up my posts so they are easier to read. I had forgotten to do that. Whoops!
