My Mom passed away on June 25th and I am still just trying to get on with some normalcy.

I moved her into my house on hospice in February and feel blessed to of been able to be there with her through her final days.

I just feel like things will never be normal [Frown]

What a blessing that you could have her in your home. I'm sure you will always cherish those memories.

I'm so sorry for your loss and will be keeping you in my prayers.

amyb,

I'm so very sorry for your deep loss.

My cousin lost her Mom in a car accident in which my cousin was driving almost 2 years ago. Even though the accident wasn't my cousin's fault, she felt so much guilt, along with grieving tremendously.

What helped her the most was reading, "Embraced By The Light", by Bettie J Eadie.

I read it 3 times because it is sooo good and comforting.

There is no doubt that it will take time for things to feel normal again.

I'm sure you were a huge blessing to her during her last several months.

It would probably help to surround yourself with encouraging words and music everyday also.

Try listening to KLove...click on the link, then scroll over the heading "Music Room", then click on "Listen Online".

The Lord is close to the brokenhearted.

Saying a prayer for your comfort and strength.

I'm so sorry! What a blessing that you were able to care for her!!

The pain never goes away, but if you will surround yourself with her love and with all the good memories, you will be fine.

No, it will never be "normal" again.

[group hug]

It won't be the same, true. Still, remember and hold onto the love, laughs and light.

I am so sorry for your loss. A day doesn't go by after 17 years that I don't think about and miss my Dad.

At first the pain was unbearable. Through the years it has eased and I can remember him with more joy than sorrow.

For your mom to have received such love and care from you was the best gift that could have ever been given to her.

She was richly blessed - I hope you can receive some comfort from that.

It's 17 years since my mom died, you never get over the comfort feeling your mom gives. I feel like an immature fool telling my husbsnd I want my mommy. It changes so many ways throughout the years. Nothing is ever normal again but know she's looking out for you. God bless.

Thank you all. You are all so kind.

I cleaned out her dresser last night and had another good cry [Frown]

I know it will take time.

Hugs to you all

amyb, I'm so sorry for your loss. How wonderful that you took your mother in and gave her a dignified ending of her beautiful life. She must have been so grateful for your support.

When you lose a parent, it is so difficult - especially when the wounds are so fresh. Time will help to heal those wounds, but you will never stop missing her.

She must have been very special mother for her daughter who is struggling with her own medical issues to take her in and care for her. [group hug]

So sorry. No one replaces moms. Hope you can find comfort in memories made and in the future. When my father died last year, this scripture was comforting to me:
Revelation 21:4

King James Version (KJV)

4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

My mom passed away 29 years ago, one year b/f I got married. Somehow, someway, I thought of her while I dressed, in the car then down the aisle and I have no doubt she was WITH me.

Often, I would think something and smile to myself, "that sounds like mom". Then I realized, she WAS with me at those times. My mom is in my head, with all the good and bad and silly thoughts and it's my thought merged with hers. I can FEEL it.

So hard to explain, but I do think they check in on us or maybe are always there waiting to help or heckle :-) us.
