Yes, an interesting interview. I'm glad Randy is doing better!

I saw yesterday's news that has him doing a bit better after the stroke & brain surgery (and heart implant) of last week. At least he's awake from (medically induced) coma now.

Hope he rallies. Months of PT/rehab ahead. Hope he will still be able to sing and play during his recovery. I'm sure he would like that.

They actually used the term "alert" .. so that is good!

BTW, for those who didn't click on the link, it's about Randy Travis having had Lyme disease.

Indeed, "alert" is so much better than just "awake"!

Wow.. I haven't looked at the link yet, but I didn't know he had Lyme!

I love his voice. I saw him in concert when I was a kid! He was excellent!

It's interesting because the Lyme affected his voice. I can attest to that fact because we saw him in concert about 5 yrs ago and his voice was not what I thought it was going to be.

Not bad, just not as strong as before.

God Blessed him,
Dr. Jesus wrote a prescription:

read one verse - at first light..
read another verse - at noon..
read one more verse with family,
- at supper time.
read of thanks and forgiveness at bed.
refill: forever

Randy Travis, awake, stabilized - USA Today
- July 15

3-minute video news conference with two of his doctors and his girlfriend

Short article, too, detailing events. Of course, no mention of his history of lyme and how that can cause cardiomyopathy.
