Hello all my story is similar to some ive read.

I woke up one day with bells palsy back in march. Absolutly no other symptoms other than that. Dont recall a bite or rash or any flu like symptoms.

Went to my primary who recognized lyme as a possibility. PErscribed me doxy and referred me to an ID. I went on my own to a LLMD in FL here who immediatly put me on iv rocephin for 21 days with some other high potent orals.

Finished that and continued on 400mg doxy a day with herbals for films and cysts ever since.

Question is when should I throw in the towel? I pretty much feel the same as pre lyme.
Id say 98%, My face has healed to where its not noticable to anybody.

Do I have a chance of a full cure from this being that I dont know when I Was bit? I read that band 31 only shows up after a year but ive also read it shows up if you do an abx challenge before testing which we did.

Thanks all!

Did you have a western blot done, and band 31 was the only band that was positive?

What does your LLMD say about stopping treatment?

Have you treated any coinfections?

When you say you feel the same as before, does that mean you feel good?

I can't offer any advice on when to stop treatment, as I am still in the thick of it, fighting this battle and feeling terrible.

But there are others here who will hopefully chime in.

Super glad to hear the bell's palsy is reversed [Smile]

I had an igenex done from my llmd. I think it was 4 band posative igm and 1 or 2 igg or it could be the other way around.

The dr said I should be ok to stop being that I was nowhere near as bad as some poeple who come to him.

My one and only symptom was the bells palsy so yes I feel great. Still working 50hrs a week and continging to work out and have a social life. I just read the horrors on here and dont want to do all this all over again.

I would consider ramping up supplements that improve immune function if not already on them.

May want to consider doing a challenge with herbs or antimicrobials for coinfections. If no herx or bad reaction then coinfections may not be in play.

Also, did you do flagyl or tindamax as part of your orals? If not, may want LLMD to prescribe at least 14 days worth to make sure cysts are gone.

Right now im one400 mg doxy a day 7 days a week and 500 mg tindamax on the weekends added in.

Sounds awesome!! I would have a discussion with your LLMD about what time frame. Most LLMD's say to treat for two months past symptom free.
