I haven't logged in in awhile, and thought I would stop by and say
Hi.
Hope things are going well for everyone.
An update on me and my family: I just turned 35! Holy moly. That sounds crazy!
I still have issues such as chronic fatigue, insomnia and pain to name a few.
I was able to lose and k eep off 50 pounds over the last 18 months. So my diabetes is pretty much gone!
I have been doing things that I never thought I could or would.
Even silly things like get up in front of people abd sing karaoke, riding horses, even entered a show and we got 3rd ! I am tired if pills abd I am not very compliant these days. I have an immune deficiency and IVIG may be next.
My oldest has PANS from mycoplasma, but she isnt severe.
My son is going to be 8 in a month he has severe PANDAS, lyme and babesia duncani. We are pretty sure tge lyme and co are treated but he just stopped mepron and bactrim. Just on biaxin now. Has had 5; IVIG so far. Hopefully he wont need more. They are miraculous.
I decided to homeschool him this year. I didn't have the right medical team in place, and I thought having a year away from the germ factory (school) would give his immune system a rest.
He is 95% well, and I am not rocking that boat! I hope he returns to school next grade.
The school was not good to us. They threatened sending the police to my house because he missed over 30 days. They had letters from docs and he was still getting good grades.
They didnt even care until I called and checked in making sure ge was allset with work, then they started their crap.
So I pulled him with 2 months to go.
My baby turned 2 in august. Can you believe it?
She is a wild woman!
She has one positive band at 23-25 through stonybrook.
She did not do well with vaccines, the last tetanus booster she had eye blinking tics for a week.
So no more for her. Luckily I have a medical exemption on all kids. She needs her tonsils out too.
All the illness and financial stress has taken a toll on my marriage. Hopefully it can be saved..
I still run lyme support group in my area with a good friend.
I dont really post much on lyme boards any more. Things are very different now.
So I try to stick with PANDAS for now, however lyme and co are involved in many cases .
But I haven't forgotten my roots here at ln

Have you seen the ACN lyme/PANDAS forum? They would be happy to hear your son's story.
I am using Buhner's herbal bartonella protocol because we couldn't afford to treat both myself and our daughter for lyme/bart, and I have found HUGE relief.
Don't forget to look after yourself, your kids need you!

merrygirl, thanks for checking in. Sometimes when people disappear from lymenet, it worrisome.
Glad you are able to do life again. That's a wonderful thing. To loose 50lbs you got rid of some garbage that added more stress to your body. Go girl!!!
Sounds like you're able to keep your children above water. Home schooling, great idea. I so admire parents for doing this.
I hope your partner troubles work out for the BEST for you.

Good to hear the latest, merrygirl!! The 50 lbs and lack of diabetes is wonderful news!!
What you said about your 2 yr old really makes me mad that Big Pharma continues to allow those vaccines in their current form!!
