Went to the once in a lifetime car auctions that end all auctions (at least will be biggest ever)

I saw a remnant of a '51 Plymouth Concord, It was a 'fastback' model of a very popular family car for those times.

Its calling my name as it sells tomorrow. Cars and trucks were high today but might be better by the end when 500 cars saturate the interest pool

A 58 Cameo pickup with 1 mile on it sold for $140,000 to top the sale.

If anyone had a Concord or knew of one sure like to know???

A college friend who now lives in OK was up there for that auction. I'm not sure if he was planning to bid on anything, or just went out of curiosity. He posted lots of pix on Facebook.

So, what happened with that '51 Plymouth Concord?

My father bought a '52 Plymouth, but I'll have to call my mom to find out which model it was.
When I searched for an image of the Concord, the front end looks like what I remember.

Not able to read this myself but found this web site after watching part of what I think you were talking about on World News With Diane Sawyer last night.

Cool! I thought that truck would be fancy. Nope! Just rare!

Stood there all day thinking no body will want this rusted out odd ball.

Would take so much to restore because parts are almost non existant AND special to this model.

6PM they finnally got to it. Flew past what I thought,,,ended at $3,000.

NOT for me, too rich for my blood. Doors, floors and missing radiator and butchered mounting for same

I used to drive old Mopars of this vintage. And grandpas new 51 Dodge got moved to the garage where I live now,,,just havent had time to work on her YET.

That one only has 55,000 actual miles,,,stored inside. Better condition than these field kept cars sitting under the stars.
