Well if that heading didnt get you going was watching 'Gator Boys' and saw this huge Anaconda constrictor snake.

(An Albino to boot)

They were trying to restrain it to get the 2 ticks off it. Guess it stands to reason they get them too,,,just never looked

Next snake you see I challenge you to check it for ticks!!

Seems weird that ticks would be on snakes. But .. WHY NOT!?

I don't think I'll be close enough to find out! [Smile]

"Next snake you see I challenge you to check it for ticks!!"

I was absent from school the day they taught how to remove ticks from snakes, so someone else will just have to do it.

Before kids I used to have a Ball python (his name was Monty). I felt very bad for him having to stay in his terrarium all day, so I would let him out in the grass to move around. He wasn't fast, so easy to catch.

I did find dog tics on him several times and had to remove them, so yes, snakes get ticks.

He was great, and used to freak all my friends out. I gave him back to the reptile store when I became pregnant with my first child.

I'm very glad you did that, rowingmom! I hate hearing how little children are killed by pythons on their own homes!

Ticks on snakes...wow.

Ticks really are the scourge of the earth.

Honestly, every critter has its role in a balanced ecosystem, but I have yet to figure out where ticks "balance" in and benefit anything or anyone.
