The info on the website, CBC Nature of Things "Ticked Off" was much more informative on what is actually happening in Canada.

I emailed everyone I knew to watch the program...excited that change was gonna come.

And guess who had the last word in the program?! Wormser.

Of all the doctors to give an update on lyme research they pick Wormser.

Very dissapointing.

They didn't feature the great genome research on ticks at UofA. They didn't tell the public how to remove ticks. Didn't go into coinfections.

All in all, the producers played it very safe and just did the chronic lyme patients in Canada a hude disservice.

I am decompressing here.

I was so excited to watch it and also when I went to the website there were interviews with awesome docs and those docs were saying awesome things.

And then the program featured Wormser who said that there has never been a patient in a study who has had BB found in any tissue with any type of test after 30 days of abx.

And the damage was done.

I am so dissapointed.

And a bit depressed.

Sigh.

I so wanted to watch this. But, I am sorry to hear that it presented such a skewed viewpoint... Just figures.

I am in the States (US), and unfortunately, every time that I try launching the 'full episode' of 'Ticked Off: The Mystery of Lyme Disease,' I am given the audio alert, 'This content is currently available.' Sadly, this does not appear to be an issue with solely this episode, either. I tried launching several other videos from 'The Nature of Things' episodes list, and the same thing occurs.

Grrrrr. As a French-Canadian descended gal myself, I'd really like to see this Candian-based television show. Regardless of the poor reporting on this topic, the program, in and of itself, seems quite captivating. I see that there will be an episode on the untangling of Alzheimer's soon. Intriguing.

Any thoughts on this? Perhaps I can find it on YouTube somehwere.

Thanks Lyme friends!
Told you...
