I love Manuka honey.....yum. I also have a tube of medicinal honey, ofcourse nothing has popped up for me to use it....

Honey is the only sweetner I like to use I use it in everything.

I think yeast does not grow well in honey.

Very interesting is the fact that the high concentration of sugar draws out the water from the bacteria and dehydrates it and kills it. Same osmotic principal as what salt does. Very good article. Says it is antifungal as well.

So why is manuka honey any better than other kinds? It is expensive.

Don't understand why a sugar in honey is antifungal but sugar in a bowl or softdrink or candy makes yeast worse.

Poppy, I'm trying to understand the same thing... it seems that once the body breaks down sugar into glucose, it would all be the same and feed the candida?!

Being able to eat manuka honey just sounds dreamy right now!! 10 months on a low carb/low sugar diet is killing me!
