Have you guys read the book about Lab 257 at Plum Island?

I'm planning to order it and wondered what you thought of it.

I think I have a free version of this book online, I'll try and make a new post with it.

I read the reviews for it and almost got ill.

I am an avid reader, but I don't plan to read this book.

If you like a good fast paced intriguing fiction book,

Plum Island by
Nelson DeMille

was excellent. A 'who done it' that gives some facts and history about this area/ island.

I won't read lab 257- too dark for me. The above mentioned fiction book gave me all the history I need on this subject.

I dont understand "getting ill" or "too dark"

For me it was an explanation of what i lived thru in ct and ny

A validation. But i guess we all go thru different things-see them differently...deal with them differently

Also...hopefully lessons were learned. Especially since this lab is moving to the middle of the country-im guessing tornados can be worse than hurricanes

'Too dark' for me means putting the evil starkly in my face-
written in a grim, factual way that makes me lose hope in the human race.

How's that? A paragraph or article- okay. But a whole book about some of the scariest, horrific people who ever lived, these Nazi scientists, detailing the horror trials on living things?
Pass!

I liked reading the history in a much lighter, interesting fashion,
the book I listed.
Call me too sensitive, that's okay.

Ok surprise-i hearwhat you are saying. I am just like you with other subjects...abuse etc. I know it exists but very hard for me to hear the details...it can actually mess up my life and make me sicker

I dont know why lab 257 didnt do that to me...i think i was able to let a lot of it go and just focus on the facts that this whole lyme thing isnt my imagination or my fault

I was close to someone once who constantly talked about negatuve stuff thar was way beyond what i could change or fix. Being with that person a lot bright me down and made me sicker. I really liked them in many ways but they couldnt stop so i had to just nit see them anymore

So i think i know what you are saying now...i guess it just happens to.us all differently
