. . . and I don't want to now. I just want to stop by to say hello and wish everyone well and give an update.

I am one of the ones who was here for a while and then just faded away. I'm not sure if I was even missed. Wow, that sounds sad. I'm not crying in my soup, as I wasn't a big part of Lymenet.

It's hard to say exactly when my troubles began or how things happened. The chronology is hazy at best, but I know I suffered through my thirties and through my children's childhoods.

In 2010 my career became too much for me, as it is a physically demanding one. In reality, I should have left in 2008, but went part-time with the hope of regaining my strength, etc. It never happened.

I took some time and focused on me. By 2011, It was clear remission was in the cards as long as I didn't tax myself too much. Then my oldest daughter went away to college and my husband -who had been supportive and very helpful- had a nervous breakdown.

With love and support -and a sense of humor- we all have the strength to get through anything together.
I do believe we've had enough, though.

I Began working again after a year and a half, doing something entirely different. I worked for 2 years, then I began college again last semester. A letter arrived in yesterday's mail. I made Dean's List. So all that brain fog and confusion can go away!

I am probably the oldest person in any of my classes, which is okay. I love it.

Lyme Disease changed me and it changed the course of my life. While I was in treatment, my son was bitten by a tick. I am forever grateful to God for my experience that he was spared the suffering I endured!

Two weeks ago a friend called me for advice because his teenage son was just diagnosed (without getting into details -he needs an LLMD)and has an appt with an expensive LLMD. I told him in no uncertain terms it's worth every penny. Just like so many of you on this board, I can give this advice with confidence.

I want to THANK all of YOU here on LYMENET who have given me advice and support and tickled my funny bone!

I'd love to name you by name, but you know how that goes.
