Would like to give it a try, not to cure the lyme but to try to help with my body's over-reaction to everything.

It's dr G's program(not sure if I can mention his name, not a lyme doc)But can't spend $190 even with money-back guarantee.

thanks, diana

Hi dogmom2, I don't know of anyone selling or renting, but I found this web-site below online.

It's a lot of posters talking about amygdala retraining. It's start on Nov 20, 2011 and ends on May 14, 2012.

I have worked with that Amygdala Retraining program (Annie's)...don't want to sell it, but would be willing to speak with you on the phone and walk you through what I learned.

Please PM me for a phone number.

It's BS for curing MCS at least for me (I've been down that road and wasted 2 years of my life). Delayed medical treatment when I thought it would fix me.

It helps with anxiety though.

It's more like meditation and breathing to help stay calm.

It's based on the assumption that you have an over-active amygdala and so you react to things.

The amydala controls fight or flight.

The problems I have with this is it's saying it's an emotional, learned reaction and your mind can unlearn this. This assumption isn't true for me at all.

My MCS and reactions are NOT based on my mind/emotions. I was poisoned and my immune system is a mess. It's a physiological problem.

Now, if it IS a psychological reason that you're reacting to stuff, it may help.

Considering that I know someone who DIED doing a program like this, I must caution you that it has you tell yourself "you're healthy, because if you don't think/believe you're sick, you won't be" is the idea.

My friend ignored obvious symptoms that she wasn't well and continued to expose herself to stuff. She was even going to start teaching other people brain retraining.

She died shortly after announcing this because she didn't listen to her body and was so ill when she entered the hospital. It was too late.

Another friend kept exposing herself to stuff and would say she was fine, even though it was obvious she was having trouble breathing.

Those are the dangers of these programs. If you do them, PLEASE continue to listen to your body.

These courses will tell you if it's not working, you aren't doing it right. This can be very cruel to someone who is sick and getting worse because it's the treatment that isn't working.

Even if you follow the program to the letter, it can still not work and cause other problems like I listed above.
