But i guess the sharks hate it too. There hungry.

I loved the peacefulness on the salt water...on a really flat day or in the marsh...

I saw an ad with a shih tzu like etta inthe front of a kayak and for awhile i fantacized about going out...my kayak still hangs on the shed...i have my vest as nd booties...i wanna at least try

But im scared. Not into risk taking behavior anymore

Living with lyme is enough risk for me

Paint it with Black & White stripes, you dress the same and the sharks will not come near you. the pattern has to be rather specific, though, in angle, width and spacing of the stripes.

There may also be some pattern differences from ocean to ocean. But the science of this goes back millions of years to shark intelligence (in what not to attack) and the way their eyes work.

Why it took us so long to figure this out -- or pay attention to those who knew years ago, well . . . .

There is a recent TED Talks on that topic. Amazing. Just amazing.

You can let that fear melt away right here, right now. No need to "hate how the world is changing" - just change your stripes! And get expert advice on that paddle & any behavior changes for how to use it, too. This is just fantastic.

Would they really come after a kayak? Leave Etta with a friend. She would be tasty bait.

If they are not large sharks I wouldn't be so worried .. a kayak seems safe?? I don't think they are into marshes??

Call me. I'll volunteer to have your local kayak club fit me with kayak and clothing. I will be overjoyed to go out on the water.

I'll bet you wouldn't be the only one in your area to explore this and there may even be a way to get some grant funding to speed this up so you can be on the water before that first autumn frost. Both the east & west coast are to have warmer than average Augusts and Autumns.

Start with your university or other research centers on your coast. This one seems logical to field many of your questions and access options:

It's true what Tutu says, if you don't go out on the ocean . . . I heard some gossip that all the lakes, rivers and offshoots are just waiting for you. The word is that they miss you!

Ah, hah! - So, when you are ready for the ocean again:
