I see no mention, no photos on the NYT website, even going into their NY section, nothing in the Health section nor on their science page - (where they have a photo of someone setting up for a street march on climate change that runs through the weekend - I heard some NYT science writers were invited so I thought maybe a mention of the issue? Nope. Zip.).

Of course, it's what I expected of them with their record of denial of persistent lyme or any problems at all.

NEWS: Summary of New York Times protest, in words and a dozen photos -

activist Regina Weichert, of the website LymeNation.net, reports that the Lyme protest in front of The New York Times garnered a lot of attention. "Although billed as a 'silent protest,' there was a gentle hum throughout."

- click link above for a good description of the event turnout and a dozen excellent photos, any one of which would have spoken volumes had the NYT paid any attention -- or, rather, realized the importance -- they choose silence and did not appear to cover it at all in today's website pages.

I was glad she used the term "lyme fellows" in closing where she says: " . . . I was glad to be there, standing with my Lyme fellows . . . ."

'Fellow' is a term of educational / professional distinction & achievement / position. It certainly fits for anyone who has to journey through the world of borreliosis and other tick borne infections.

I like lyme comrades too. Reminds me of being in the trenches while fighting battles to win a war. So either one is good. [Smile]

Later in the day, I did a search of the NYT news site. Zero search results regarding the silent vigil yesterday (nothing came up for "lyme" at all from recent days). Like the event - or the people there - just didn't exist. Sounds familiar.

I don't think it does us any good to have those dead people dancers milling about. Makes us look like a bunch of loonies. JMO
