Banff National Park (Canada) Banff National Park is home to endless coniferous forests, as well as brilliant glacial-fed lakes and meadows.
The forests of Banff are generally part of the sub-alpine region, which makes up 53% of the national park.

Sagano bamboo forest (Japan) The bamboo forest of Sagano can be found in the Arashiyama district of Kyoto, Japan.
The paths that cut through the groves are ideal for walking or biking. The bamboo stalks sway in unison when there’s a light wind.

Found in nature and aquariums alike (this photo was taken in the Monterey Bay Aquarium), kelp forests are underwater high-density areas of kelp. The ecosystem of a kelp forest is complex, with different types of kelp living in each canopy.
Many people theorize that the Americas were originally colonized by fishing communities who followed the movement of Pacific kelp forests.

Avenue of the Baobabs (Madagascar) A grouping of 20 to 25 baobab trees along a dirt road in the Menabe region of western Madagascar makes up the Avenue of the Baobabs.
The trees measure about 30 meters in height and have become something of a tourist attraction in the region.

Muir Woods National Monument (United States) California redwoods, also known as coast redwoods, cover 240 acres of the Muir Woods National Monument, a short drive from San Francisco.
The area is frequently enveloped by a coastal marine inversion layer carrying thick fog.

Heron Pond (United States) Found in Illinois, Heron Pond is home to a cypress swamp consisting mainly of cypress trees along with a smaller number of ferns, willows, and other plant life.
The trees grow in holes within the limestone bedrock, which breaks down over time and allows the trees to set roots ever deeper.

Coruscant, capital of the Galactic Republic and home to 3 trillion known sentient beings-- though there are probably far more who are hiding from governmental oversight.
Alderaan, home to Bail Organa, Leia Organa-Solo, and 2 billion other sentient individuals. No longer available for galactic tours.
Theed, capital city of Naboo, home of Padme Amidala and Jar Jar Binks.
And... I have a really beautiful picture of the Jedi Temple in the sunset... but I can't seem to get it pasted into here.
Anyway-- some beauty from a long time ago, far far away!

Mangrove tunnel (Honduras) Seen from the Caribbean to the Philippines, mangrove forests consist of gatherings of trees that grow in tropical and subtropical saline coastal habitats.

Zhangjiajie National Forest Park (China) The Zhangjiajie National Forest Park sits within the Wulingyuan Scenic Area of Hunan.
The park is best known for the quartz-sandstone pillars that tower above the surroundings, a result of centuries of erosion. It was declared a Unesco Global Geopark in 2004.

WOW! I keep coming back and loving it. Love the bamboo, weird trees and this mangrove scene- and all the pics, but the trees are my favorites so far. So interesting!
And I want to thank you Steve for making me look like a goof ball yesterday! I do blame you!
I was in a stop and shop getting a drink and a woman walked up to the counter along side me. She had on a sweat shirt with a pretty picture of trees in a park scene.
Cause of you and these pics I immediately got in her face and started talking to her like I'd known her for years and asked her all about the park and her visit there.
Thankfully she responded kindly instead of running out the door! Afterwards I thought to myself, what made me do that?
Ah ha! It is Steve and his beautiful pictures! I'll have to tell him about this experience, one that he created and I'd have missed had he not posted those beautiful pics.

Tincup, you’re too funny, I’m glad you made a new friend! As you know, I think it’s important to smile at least once a day, 100 times is better.
I see it worked for you, when you seen that pic on that woman’s shirt it put you in a state of happiness
I have a hard time going to sleep at night, and just as hard time staying asleep.
So every night as I lie their trying to sleep, I think of happy places – ocean, blue water, beautiful places etc… I also think of these pic’s here.

Not sure exactly, but you might want to check with the other men who made that same mistake. They've formed a club for those who accidentally screamed Tincup while their wives were laying beside them in bed!
If you want to reach them, I think they are living at the local YMCA.
JUST KIDDING!!!!!
Actually, when that happens, and it happens a lot really, I tell the men to tell their wives they dreamed they wanted to play golf (like the movie). It might cost you some dollars for new golf clubs, golf balls and shoes, but it beats being tossed out on your ear!
