I did some reading and I'm not sure I understand this - if you live in CT does your insurance cover longer than 28 days of IV? I live in NJ and was only approved for 28 days and need to gather information to appeal.

I have found various sample letters to use, but was told to find medical journals and site studies, any help or someone can point me in a direction to start searching is greatly appreciated!

In my state, I was refused even for 28 days because they wanted CDC positive western blot and positive antibody test. I don't think I can appeal at all.

There are studies in mice and macaques on persistence of borrelia after standard antibiotic to that might help?

Maia, seems like you could appeal using the info that CDC says positive two tier testing is for surveillance purposes, not to be sole factor in diagnosis.

I live in nh. I dont believe they will listen. But i guess you can try. I cant use my energy for that kind of stuff anymore.

Over the years ive been in nh, me, ct,ny and nj...all different. Not just for iv. For all kinds of lyme things
