Thanks! I spent mine with around a million folks by the Bay bridge tonite, watching fireworks next to a bridge that already has a permanent light show on it that looks like the wind going through it.

If you feel like watching some gorgeous fireworks, google for Sydney, Australia fireworks!

Thanks. Happy New Year to you too. I spent yesterday cross crountry skiing to a cabin in the Sierra's.

Warm cocoa by the fireplace.

We will be covering more area today to another cabin by a lake.

Only way to get there is via cross crountry skiing or backpacking.

(In my dreams that is)

Hi Robin 123, WOW I bet it was warm there allso!!

Kam, I dream of Wyoming mountain climbing ,being above temberline in a giant boulder field hoping from rock to rock.

Ann, 3 days it will be black powder deer hunting. Yep i drive one mile and i am in Woodland trails wild life area. 2400 acres.

I carry my muzzle loader and a folding camp style stool. I walk back to a point up on a hill looking down into a giant holler - canyon. There I sit still as the dead, waiting for a deer that never comes by .

It is almost a religious time, so peaceful i fall asleep.

It is ice fishing time here!!!

BUT!! It is to rain on my hunting before it gets colder.

Try to keep my powder dry with this forcast!!!

Happy New Year to everyone here!

Your post reminded me of one of my first hikes. I was an inexperienced hiker and ended up in a boulder field and jumped from rock to rock.

One of my harder hiking adventures to say the least.

Happy trails!

Interesting how boulder hopping stays with us

Maddog, maybe made warmer by so many bodies in one place! The day before, we had a huge wind storm that knocked down trees and power lines throughout the area, and then New Year's eve, voila, summer weather - we were lucky!

Interesting how many different new years we all have...

Everyone's still being real nice out there today!

I watched the Rose Bowl parade on New Year's Day. Lots of health conditions were featured, including honoring two doctors who had fought Ebola.

And it made me wonder - what could a Lyme disease float look like? Messages were positive, and honoring. Imagine that, a beautiful Lyme float that gets MC'ed with a message going out to millions watching.

To funny (LYME FLOAT)now there are 3 Lyme Floats.

1.My Lyme Float was getting a bunch of Lymies together and floating a slow river in Kayaks and Canoes.

2. I had a sign out by the road at one of my lyme floats. It said Lyme Float and pointed to the camping area. Some people stoped and thought it was a ice cream float with lime in it. They wanted a (Lime float).

3. Now you have invented a (LYME FLOAT) , the things that there are in parades!!!!!

TO FUNNY!!!!!!!!!!

That's funny - people thinking you had an ice cream float with lime! Maybe that's it - since people already think like that!

Now we just need the slogans. Like, we'd like to be able to lick Lyme disease! etc. And, you say Lyme and I scream! Oh I'm bad.

Hey Maddog, where did we have that lyme float in Kentucky? I'm trying to figure out where to go for my vacay this year and what little I remember of the area, it was awesome!

Let me know. Thanks!
