What a terrible day for me! I can't say I am glad I'm back, but it helps to see familiars here. So, here's the scoop. My boyfriend has a dog. (Welp, we summed up the bite huh?) Anyways, said boyfriend aka my newest ex REFUSES to not let her on the furniture. We have a huge sectional and she comes and goes like its nothing. He was adamant she was coming to bed with us until I wouldn't sleep in the bed. So, I partially won the fight. But today, I woke up just not feeling well. I told him this several times. I also kept complaining about right sided stomach pain. I tried to get comfy and moved to the dogs usual spot. I had JUST vaccuumed the couch. I sat down and was rubbing my side when I noticed my evil attachment. He tweezed it out, I hyperventilated and blamed him for letting his freaking dog on the furniture. He gave me a "dude pat" on the back as comfort I guess. I put the tick in a baggie with a wet cotton ball and am shipping it to igenex tomorrow. The tick was a nymph and extremely difficult to decide dog/deer tick. In any event, after pulling it out my all day long side pain stopped. I popped some cipro cause it was available. I have doxy at my house which I'm going to get tomorrow. This is all so effing surreal and NEEDLESS! Keep the gchhvhcxgxtxtxycy animal off the damn furniture!!!!!!!!!

many people don't understand the connection between pets and ticks. some just don't care and they say they dont' care if they get sick/die, etc.

I know many people like that.

one day they will learn AL learn, and we shall have our day!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't want anyone to get sick form this, but another part of me says, "I can't wait until everyone is sick so that they can know!!!!!!!!!!!'

shame on me.

o well.

I wanna get some doxy to have on hand. I heard you can get it from dog sitees on line? anyonw know of an address?

I have a very small very white dog and imconstantly petting her and looking for ticks...kinda ocd about that

Have found two in five years

When i lived in a more endemic place i had two dogs black and silver. Really hard to find ticks on them.

Id be really lonely without etta tho. Shes a lot less trouble than most men. And it takes so little to make her really happy
