POISON OAK & SUMAC should also be considered. Some of the same remedies may work, or they may need something different. But they are also getting much stronger so do not assume they are the same as in the past.
First, steroids are never a good idea, even topical creams / ointments, for someone with lyme [unless life, eye or lung emergencies]. More about that in a post below for anyone new to lyme.
A recent article in the news and a recent thread here prompted this as it will come up again. But it may not have to, I hope.
Do not assume you are dealing with the same kind of poison ivy as in the past. It's not the same.

- There may well be a more specific topical for poison ivy so do search beyond this. I can't look now and know that this can help ease a variety of skin irritations.

With in 2 hours of being exposed to poison ivy, wash entire body in Dawn dish liquid.
The poison is a oil off the leaves, Dawn breaks down the oil.
WALLA no bad reaction - (rash).
It works!!!

Also, one can use Fels Naptha Laundry Bar found in the grocery store to help cut the oil. It would probably be good to wash the clothes one was wearing in hot, grease cutting soap.
I tend to use lower potencies- like a 6c. I would use a 6c with Sulphur instead of a 30c.
If one has used a lot of steroidal creme or taken steroids for it I, personally, would skip the homeopathics as it heals/balances from the inside out and, in the course of healing, will want to un-spring the suppression.
