I WISH FOR A CURE FOR LYME DISEASE. [group hug]

I also wish for anti-gravity slippers, pills that taste like pizza, and to laugh out loud hysterically. [lol] [lol] [lol]

Where's the transporter technology they've been promising?!?!? That's a wish I can support!

And a wish for this new year? To be stronger than last year. To be healthier than last year.

That's a new one here - pills that taste like pizza - they'll have to work on that. What kind of pizza? I'd go for ham and pineapple flavor.

I wish for all of us to get stronger as a community in meeting our needs.

I also wish for some good laughs along the way too - woke up today to see an online picture of the iconic large sign high up in the Santa Monica hills that overlooks the LA area altered from HOLLYWOOD to HOLLYWEED today!! In honor of CA legalizing pot in November!

I wish for: The truth about Lyme disease to come out, a cure, all to have access to treatment , insurance companies to cover Lyme, health, happiness, and peace for us all.

Robin123, The sign you reference is hilarious. Hope you got a pic!!!

Me, (I'm talking to you, not me - oh dear, have to say it again more carefully - I'm talking to everyone here - there!) I took a picture of the online picture.

Many spent the morning today going to snap pictures of themselves with the altered sign.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — No, Los Angeles residents, it wasn't your hangovers playing tricks on you. The Hollywood sign really did read "HOLLYWeeD" for a few hours on New Year's Day.

Police were investigating Sunday after a prankster used giant tarps to turn two of the iconic sign's white Os into Es sometime overnight.

The vandal, dressed in all black, was recorded by security cameras and could face a misdemeanor trespassing charge, said Sgt. Robert Payan.

The person scaled a protective fence surrounding the sign above Griffith Park and then clambered up each giant letter to drape the coverings, Payan said.

The prank may be a nod to California voters' approval in November of Proposition 64, which legalized the recreational use of marijuana, beginning in 2018.

Hikers and tourists in the hills spent the morning snapping photos of themselves in front of the altered sign before park rangers began removing the tarps.

"It's kind of cool being here at the moment," Bruce Quinn told KABC-TV. "I thought we came to see the Hollywood sign, not the' Hollyweed' sign. But hey it's OK with me!"

While attention-grabbing, the prank was not exactly original. Forty-one years ago to the day — Jan. 1, 1976 — a college student similarly altered the sign, using curtains to make it read "HOLLYWEED."

I wish to look in the mirror and recognize the face looking back at me.

I wish to look in the mirror and not start crying.

I wish to go back in time to B.T.B.(before tick bite).

I wish to join the living.

( So sorry, struggling).

Hang in there BB. It will get better. HUG HUG!!!

It will! I know it so.

Idea- take a nice picture of you- one you had BTB- and make an 8 x 10 of it, or larger.

Then tape it to your mirror.

If you can look at that mirror and not laugh seeing what you've done, then you may need more help than I can provide...

Like maybe a whole team of psychiatrists!

[lol]

If that doesn't work it is time for a day at the beach.

When life gives you lemons give them back and ask for Florida oranges.

Fun thing to do in Florida...

Wear oven mitts while driving your car so the hot steering wheel doesn't burn your hands.

Sell tickets to get into heaven to tourists.

Dress up your imaginary friend in flip flops and white socks then follow him around town while telling everyone about how goofy he looks.

Hunt ticks in your area like a mob boss would do. "I want him dead. I want his family dead. I want his house burned down to the ground."

Be glad you are not a manatee. He eats lettuce all day, exercises by swimming all day and he is still fat.

Make a big sign to carry around on the nearest Boardwalk that says.. "Having sexual relations with a porcupine is illegal in Florida."

Hand out bumper stickers to your neighbors that say... "FLORIDA: If you think we can't vote, wait till you see us drive."

Take a poll of how many people pronounce Florida as “FLOOR-ida” and how many say “FLAR-ida”.

Go around writing TGIF on people's shoes. (Toes go in first)

I think that should be more fun than you have time for in one day, so you may have to spread it over a week or so.

If you need more ideas then, please let me know because I care. I really do.

[group hug]

BTW- I was listening to this, not watching the video. Just saw, as I was closing down again, a guy in a girls bathing suit running on the beach, so I have no clue what else is on there.

HA!

I was sharing it for the SONG, not the video. But if it is a good video, then that's what I was doing.

Wink, wink.

My wish is for better diagnostic tools and better treatment plans. Oh, and also that 'normal' docs will get a clue.

Steve,

Love all the pics you post, keep 'em coming.

Tincup,

I love the song "Toes". I used to play it when I was at work.

Oh yeah, this is a thread for wishes.
I wish I got paid for sitting on my ass.

Bartender Bonnie, So sorry you are having such a rough time. Yes, Tincup is a gem--a bit loco, but we like keeping her around. [Wink]

Some ideas she gave me when I was going through a hard time included naming each potatoe in a sack of potatoes and painting each nail a different color; I don't remember the rest of them, but they made me smile, too.

I'm glad you found this forum. We are here for you.

Posted by Tincup (Member # 5829) on :

You painted your toe nails different colors and played with a bag of potatoes and you call me loco?

[Razz]

Posted by me (Member # 45475) on :

Yep, you're loco in la cabeza. It's okay, I admit I'm loco too. And my toenails were a piece of art and the potatoes were happier with names. [loco]

Posted by Robin123 (Member # 9197) on :

Hey, I'd paint the potatoes too - brown is so dull...

Posted by Tincup (Member # 5829) on :

What can I say? BOTH of them- too many tequilas.

[Big Grin]

Posted by me (Member # 45475) on :

Making a note on my to do list: Paint potatoes any color but brown. Thanks for the idea, Robin. [Razz]

I wish I could have too many tequilas.

Sounds fabulous. [Cool]

[woohoo] [woohoo] [woohoo] [woohoo]

Hell yeah Steve, bring it on !!!!!

I literally bought my I-pad up to my face and put my lips around the shot glass and imagined shutting it down.

It was DELICIOUS. [spinning smile]

Think of the options for potato coloring - any color - any pattern - you could paint little red spots on your potatoes just to remind yourself to be glad you don't have the measles...(if potatoes got the measles, would they call it the peasles? And I haven't even had one tequila today...)

Spraypaint them Day-glo colors - how to find your potatoes in the dark!

This is a true story - I was visiting in NYC once and was visiting some apt at nite, lights were out, and little day-glo flashes were streaking across the room - the walls - the ceiling - was I hallucinating?

No, these folks had rounded up a sizable bunch of roaches and spraypainted them day-glo colors - it was actually pretty trippy.

I'm going to paint one to look like a roach that glows in the dark, one that looks like a shot of tequila, one that says HOLLYWEED, one with red dots, one with ten toenails that are all different colors . . . . And when visitors come over, I will introduce each potato by name. [Big Grin]

Steve, How did you find the potatoes I just painted so quickly??????!!! [Wink]

Me, you're a marvelous potato artist, or should we call you spudhead?

Thanks, Steve, for documenting me's potatoes!

They look so spiffy that I suggest you get them preserved with potato shellac immediately.

Posted by Bartenderbonnie (Member # 49177) on :

Before you shellac them, can I have one baked with.butter, sour cream, salt and pepper ?

And add a price of prime rib with a side of asparagus ?

Posted by steve1906 (Member # 16206) on :

.
Sunday Dinner, "BB" you owe me one!

Asparagus on the side - Who doesn't love bacon.

Thank you Robin, I also think "Me" did a great job on those potato's....

Enjoy,
Steve

OMG. [kiss]

You know a way to a Lyme woman s heart is through her stomach. Yummy, Yummy, Yummy !

Hands down Steve, you have the BEST pics !

Posted by Bartenderbonnie (Member # 49177) on :

P. S. And the bloodier the prime rib the better. At least until I get my plasma treatments, ha ha.

Posted by Tincup (Member # 5829) on :

Ok girls, I found him first. Stay away! He's mine and you can't have him!

I love his summer pictures, especially in the winter, but that prime rib just won me over.

[Big Grin]

And me, not me you me, someone said.... "should we call you spud head"?

I kinda like that. Easier than calling you me, not me you me.

Spudhead it is!

OK, we'll be nice, Ms. Spudhead.

[lol]

BTW- I LOVE Mr. Potato Head. Always have! One of my most favorite things to play with as a kid. Much more fun than dolls.

[Big Grin]

And we didn't have plastic potatoes back then. I just used the clothing and face pieces and a real potatoe. I like the "real thing".

[lol]

You know, you all are pretty goofy.

Posted by Robin123 (Member # 9197) on :

Yep. Methinks (me, not Spud Me) Disneyland's Goofy would feel right at home here. Looks like we all get to have dinner with Steve here!

What's for dessert?

Noting your first entry here at the top, I think we're making some progress with the first-ever-convened tickborne illness working group meeting, and some of the research that's being funded! Onward!
