Thank you to the Texas Lyme Support group who I contacted about LLMD referral. They were wonderful.

A woman based in Houston called and told me about a "researcher" who drives to Houston to attend the meetings when she can.

She is a Phd and Assistant Professor of Veterinary Pathobiology
College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences and her focus has been prevalence of Lyme in TX that (of course) goes unreported.

I read their information (not the right word but can't think of it) and their projects page. they did an extensive outreach including "sweeps" to collect ticks from all over Texas and study their DNA.

They are now looking at the incidence of Lyme contracted in TX. Survey is anonymous and uses zip codes only plus a few other questions.

We need more people like the researchers at A&M to refute the CDC reports!

Is the survey brand new? I know I did a survey about a year ago for a group in Texas.

I believe the survey is new. They initially did research on examining ticks that people sent in or that they obtained from their sweeps and are now looking at where in TX people were bit, if they have been diagnosed with Lyme, zip code of where they were diagnosed, if they have co-infections etc.

Is it ok to post her name? She isn't treating people and Texas A&M has a huge Lyme research dept. Let me know and I will post the link.
