The document questions ILADS vs IDSA policies: "There are a small number of front-line health professionals who follow guidelines developed by the International Lyme and Associated Disease Society (ILADS), a multidisciplinary medical society dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of Lyme and its associated diseases. The treatment recommendations in the ILADS guideline are different from those in the IDSA, particularly with regards to antibiotic use. There remain evidence gaps which can be informed through further research on treatment options. Emerging evidence will be closely monitored and shared with patients, front-line health professionals, and other relevant stakeholders."
I hope our leaders can see the overwhelming need for antibiotics and ignore old policies that do not work.

ILADS guidlines are a huge improvement over the failed and useless IDSA guidelines - And there is much more work to be done!
Canada! We have a golden opportunity to lead here, DON'T BLOW IT! So many Canadians are putting their hopes into this new development - it would be a shame to repeat the same old mistakes of other countries.
