Deep breath. . .

I joined lymenet 1 year ago.
I want to thank every single Lyme warrior on this site.
You saved my life and I am humbled and so very thankful !

It has been a 5 year battle, up to 29 different medical providers. Sad to say, at the end of 2017, that 99% were of no help and totally clueless about Lyme and TBI's. Mind boggling.

This is my journal (condensed) meant to pay it forward.
I AM BETTER ! It's been an incredible and amazing journey. Most days 75% , 4 out of 5 days randomly. Much work to be done still and I am committed. Will not settle for less.

Month 1 of starting treatment :
Totally debliitated. Electrical jolts, wide-spread unbearable pain, hallucinations, bugs crawling on skin, crying, anxiety, insomnia, depersonalizations, tinnititus, chills, fevers, exhaustion, vertigo, shakes, tremors, blurry eyesight, head pressure, heart palpitations, crazy thoughts, light and sound sensitivities, couldn't talk or walk, I WAS DYING !

Month 2 thru 4
These were the hardest. No markable inprovements. Suicidal thoughts brought on by the unbearable pain. AWLFUL hangover feeling every morning. Treatments were BRUTAL ! Heartbreaking. Added IVIG.

Month 5
Happy days arrive. Feeling little subtle achievements. 1st smile. Out of bed more than in bed. Able to drive. Wanted to rejoin society, instead of avoiding it. AWLFUL hangover feeling gone !

Month 6
FEELING SO MUCH BETTER !
But new tick bite set me back and bedridden for full month.

Month 7
Getting my mojo back, More energy, feeling like myself.
Pain subsiding. Able to read again. Tremors, shakes, electrical jolts, all gone. More good days than bad.

Month 8 thru 10
Added weight resistance training 2x per week. Lost 20 lbs. Muscle wasting replenished. Look and feel better. Slowly weaned from 2 antibiotics from a 6 antibiotic regimen. Continue IVIG, herbs, supplements, multiple supportive therapies,

Month 11
Returned to work after a 15 month absence. Only 1 day per week but this was HUGE ! Mentally, physically, and financially.
Super scared but unjustified. Felt like time stood still, like I never left. Yet I was changed, so very, very different.

Month 12
Reflective state. Many ups and many downs. Very broke. Future uncertain. Still fragile. But so much stronger in so many ways. Value family, friends, loved ones, all creatures of God.
It will all be alright. Calmness, and genuine graditude for life.

Love to all. 💚 ❤️ 💙 💜 💚
Keep treating, keep fighting, never give up !
