does anybody know where I can get large antiseptic wipes? I bought somefrom walmart, cvs and amazon. they are so small you canc barely use them.
he wants larger oneshecan clean his surgical site with and these one inch square ones just don't work.
there's got to be larger ones.

pharmacist said they didnt have large ones. I'm going all over and all I find are teensy little wipes. surelythere out there.

FDA Bans Triclosan, 23 Other Antiseptic Ingredients
Medscape DISCLOSURES - December 19, 2017
The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has finalized a rule that bans the marketing of over-the-counter (OTC) healthcare antiseptic products containing triclosan or any of 23 other active ingredients.
The FDA found that these ingredients are not generally recognized as safe and effective (GRASE), inasmuch as the companies that manufacture them have failed to provide additional safety and efficacy data.
The FDA first proposed the rule in 2015;
affected products include hand washes and rubs, surgical hand scrubs and rubs, and patient antiseptic skin products. . . .

Assuming the wound is closed & you want to clean around sutures, staples, or pins.
Then "Hibiclens" would be a far better cleanser.
You apply it with sterile gauze. (It has a soapy consistency but is proven to kills germs far far far better than any regular soap.) Afer washing chosen area, you should rinse the excess off. Use sterile gauze & blot with sterile saline.
Hibiclens, sterile gauze, & bottles of sterile saline are available at all pharmacies.
Alcohol damages cell structure & greatly impairs wound healing.
