Met a very knowledgeable ER doc who had been in military.

He said he had diagnosed lots of Lyme among soldiers and gave them meds as soon as they got a tick bite.

He took out my broken picc line and was so kind.

Interesting math they embrace...

I find these retrospective diagnoses that challenge original diagnoses fascinating and bewildering. On what basis do they overturn original diagnoses in the face of historically documented serological evidence?

Not sure why this reminds me of the North Carolina retrospective re-diagnosing of serologically confirmed Lyme cases.
