Am I the only one that absolutely hates today's holiday?

I don’t have kids but still have my 94 year old mom and am thankful for that.
Do something nice for yourself today, Mountainsky.

It's not that. Just a miserable day as it is every year. I can't do anything right.

I'll never understand why its such a happy day. For some it's not. This disease tears apart lives why give that to the next generation? There's never gonna be a cure for this disease.

I think every holiday is a mixed bag - for some, very happy, for some, not. Sorry you're having such a hard time! My philosophy is, try to do the best we can, given the circumstances. I try to find the things I can do and then do them.

Nothing is or will ever be the same again. I don't even celebrate my bday anymore.

Mountainsky, I am so sorry. Bad times on holidays are really hard.
I hope you have someone you can chat with to air your concerns and lift your spirits. I am so glad you post here where people really care.
Sometimes writing out your feelings can help you sort through them. It can be soothing too.
Funny, how I almost always end up finishing with listing all I have to be grateful for .
Or just punch a pillow and have a good cry....
And please come back here to post more.

Thanks but it won't make a difference. Talking about it never helps.
My life is literally work and sleep and always will be.

Well, please keep posting here. I hope you are having a better day today.
I am always grateful to be vertical and mobile and to have this way of communicating on another day - good or bad.
Please stay in touch...

I was mushroom hunting, way back in the forest on mothers day.
Suddenly i new she was there, right out of the blue i was thinking of mom.
I talked to her right there in the forest, she new i was mushroom hunting.
I cried, but it was ALL GOOD!! MADDOG

Thank you for sharing that Maddog. I am happy you got to feel that.
It's not for reasons ppl think. Just holidays aren't the same anymore, nothing is. There is zero joy in anything, lots of worry and anxiety.
Sadly too I don't believe I'll ever celebrate that "day" because of this disease.
