Welcome to the exercise thread! [woohoo]

Let's keep encouraging each other to get up and move.

Are you walking, doing PT, shopping, cleaning, working in the yard? All these and more count.

So, tell us about your exercise or just tell us about your day.

Have a wonderful week! [hi]

Watched the National Cathedral church service online.

Ran a load of laundry. Washer skipped from wash cycle to the end again. Had to run the load 3 times to get it rinsed and spun. Does this periodically and I really need to call and have it looked at.

Called mom.

Worked outside a bit. Trimmed several bushes. One forsythia is half dead, and I cut out the dead branches. It was planted before 1989 and really needs to be removed. Unfortunately, it is right by the gas line and gas meter.

I watered the flowers. So very dry here. Didn't even attempt to weed as it was too dry.

Sat outside and earthed while reading.

Tossed salad and fruit again for dinner tonight.

Then reading or watching the movie “National Treasure. “

Started the week with severe brain fog, vertigo and tinnitus and fatigue. Now I’m getting my energy back. I’m very happy 😊

I went to gym, 1st time since March. Took it nice and easy, one hour. Next day wasn’t sore, fantastic.

Had one doctor’s appointment this week.

Paid a bunch of bills which got my stress level down.
My car insurance is now MORE expensive than my house insurance!
Unbelievable. Gonna get new quotes tomorrow.

It rained two days straight so Iaid in bed and watched the Donna Adelson trial on Court TV. She was found guilty.

Started draining the pool on Friday and 48 hours later, I have about one foot of water left. I am planning on tearing down complete pool by myself and some friends in order to save money. I won’t need a backhoe to dig but will need another 4” of new sand. I’ll hire the pool company to install.

My friend has a truck so I’m hoping he’ll take me to junk yard to get money for the scrap aluminum.

I haven’t picked out pool yet. I’m not really in a hurry, in fact it can wait till next year but I want end of season sale.

I went grocery shopping and it took 3 1/2 hours, couldn’t wait to get home. You have to go to multiple stores in order to save money because the prices vary greatly. No un-necessary spending, budget is tight, tight, tight.

Hope everyone had a great week!

Thanks Hiker for getting us started!

I did absolutely nothing today except lay on the couch and eat! Prednisone munchies and not sleeping well either. Tomorrow is the last day of that med. Yay!

I forgot to mention I hit the curb at the bank last week and busted my wheel cover. It was right after getting that same tire patched for a leak.

So need to see if they're snap ons or have to remove lug nuts. Fingers crossed for snap ons!

Hiker that's a good movie. I had a salad for an early dinner then munchies hit and had a can of pea soup and ice cream. [Roll Eyes]

BB I shop several stores too. My favorite grocery store is expensive except for their BOGO sales. Prices can't be beat on alot of those. I go to Aldi and Wal-Mart also.

You guys are doing great on staying active! I'm hoping to come around soon. This year has been rough since I hurt my elbow and now my wrist. Could be worse though.

Well I'm debating on noshing on popcorn while reading....

BB--I can see that you would want to get a pool installed soon due to sale prices. Good luck!

I got a slow start this morning. I did call an appliance repair guy to come look at my washer tomorrow. Hope it can be repaired. I did research new washers and none thrill me.

I did my bike warmup, knee and feet exercises and then went for a 30 minute walk. [Cool]

Filled the safflower feeder and hummingbird feeder.

Went to the dentist and got my teeth cleaned by the dental hygienist. Skipped seeing the dentist as my teeth were fine and I wanted to save some money.

Called mom.

Sat outside and earthed a bit.

Took the landscape waste and the garbage bins to the curb.

I am having a venison burger for dinner with asparagus and a spinach salad.

Then reading and I may watch the Bears-Vikings football game.

Josh is talking about getting an above ground pool too. I'll mention to him to shop after summer.

Hiker I used to root for the Bears back in the day. Remember Refrigerator Perry? Woohoo he was a biggun!

I showered and went and picked up breakfast and brought it home.

Still not sleeping well and was up at 4:45 so maybe slept 3-4 hours.

Later today I went and picked up a pizza with bell peppers as a topping. Had to get a veggie in.

Had a small salad for dinner.

Sure am tired and will probably go to bed early.

Finished my book this morning and might start another one.

Oh looks like my wheel covers don't snap on. Will have to take it to a tire shop.

Goodnight friends!

Hi! I'm still here. Just seems so busy this time of year getting the garden things in.

Labor day the hay for the goats was ready. The neighbor hauled it here for us after the boys loaded on his trailer.

Canned v8 tomato juice twice.

Finished picking beans for the season.

One of our grape vines had its first few sparse bunches of grapes this year. They were delicious!

Saw the fox up in the goat meadow this morning. I yelled and it ran.

Waited till 4 pm to let the guineas out so hopefully Mrs Fox found her meal somewhere else.

Did the washing and hung it out to dry. Brought most of it in before supper. Two loads were still damp do left them out till tomorrow.

Baked the usual 32 loaves of bread.

Supper was chicken rice soup and homemade bread with butter n strawberry or peach/mango jelly.

Sleep good!

It has cooled down here and the boys commented it gets dark too soon! Can't do much outside after supper till its too dark to see.

They each have a vehicle they are trying to fix.

MannaMe--I agree with your boys that is it getting dark a bit too early. You have been busy.

I did my balance and shoulder exercises.

Went grocery shopping. I have never spent so much in one trip as today. But I did buy a couple of covid test kits and they weren't cheap.

Filled the bird feeder.

Iced my bad shoulder. Yard work on Sunday made it flare up again. Will ice again tonight.

Sat outside earthing for a while after lunch.

Appliance repairman came and said the timer in the washer was broken but he couldn't order a new one as the washer was too old.

So, I went out and bought a new washer. They are so flimsy compared to the one I have. It gets delivered Friday. The drum is so deep in new washers I can barely reach down to the bottom. But didn't want a front load washer as they can get mold around the door.

Sat outside and earthed a bit more. Helped relieve the stress of paying for the washer. [Smile]

Leftover venison burger for dinner with broccoli and romaine lettuce salad.

Then reading.

Manna that's a lot to do! Homemade soup and fresh bread sounds so good!

Hiker sure hope the new washer will work out for you.

Took myself out for a fast food breakfast today and then went to the tire shop.

The guy just popped out the dents in my scrunched up wheel cover with a screw driver. Looks bad but he said it's still serviceable. If I want to change them they have to take off the lug nuts.

So looks like I'll drive it around for awhile since I have no pressing need to update them right now.

Went and visited my Mom's bestie for a few hours. Made a phone call for her about her credit card and then we just spent the afternoon chatting.

Don't laugh but I had a slice of leftover pizza with brussel sprouts as a side for dinner. I just had to have a veggie!

After dinner I went to CVS looking for a cheap Epipen. My pharmacy price was over $300 for 2 shots and theirs is $109. Since I'm on Medicare now I don't qualify for the drug discount program.

It's a bummer because I was getting 2 for free.

Was reading but the book is political and not conducive for relaxing before bed. [Big Grin]

See you all tomorrow!

I watered the flowers. So very dry here.

I did my bike warm up and then my knee and feet exercises.

Went for a 30 minute walk.

Ran 2 loads of laundry. The washing machine didn't skip any cycles today, but these are the last two loads for my elderly washer.

Remade the bed and traded the quilt I washed for a different one. Put the pink one in the cedar chest.

I felt uncomfortable with the flimsy GE washer I picked out yesterday, so I went back to the appliance store and upgraded to a sturdier and simpler Speed Queen. A litle more expensive but I can reach down into the drum easier and it has knobs not buttons. Much like my old washer. Made in WI. It will be delivered tomorrow.

Grabbed a cup of coffee and sat outside earthing for an hour. Getting warmer again and I am back in shorts and a t-shirt. [Cool]

Then cleaned the bathroom.

Cooking a pork chop for dinner. Steaming some broccoli and making a romaine lettuce salad topped with carrots and raspberries.

After dinner I plan to start a new novel.

Sounds like a good day Hiker!

I went and picked up pumpkin cake donuts and the usual vegan lunch to take to Josh's for dinner.

Picked up my Epipens too.

Had fun playing with Juno after dinner while Josh did school work.

Might play a mindless game on my tablet tonight.

Hiker, I really like my Speed Queen washer. I have it more than 5 years and its still working great.

Today was a corny day. Put 28 packs of corn in the freezer and there is a casserole dish in the fridge with corn for supper tomorrow.

Also canned 12 quarts of v8 tomato juice.

Mixed up the sourdough bread for tomorrow.

Time to get to bed.

I did my balance exercises.

Attended my women's Bible study group.

Went for a 25 minute walk.

After lunch I went and got a cafe mocha at a local coffee shop to celebrate my birthday today.

I sat and earthed in the back yard. Chatted on the phone with several friends including a teacher I had in junior high who called me.

Then chatted a long time later with my brother. And talked to my mom. I am all chatted out! [Big Grin]

Washing machine arrived and is ready for use. Hope I like it. I vacuumed the area where they took the old washer out before they put the new one in and then vacuumed the entire utility room when they left.

I ate leftover pork chop tonight with zucchini and a spinach salad.

Grocery store had a one day sale on good quality cheese and celery—BOGO. So, I zipped over there after dinner. I gave of the celery bunches to a neighbor. I did skip the on sale chips. Took all my restraint.

Time to chill with a book.

Hiker happy birthday! I struggle in the chip aisle too! I ended up with Cheezits rationalizing that Josh likes them. [Roll Eyes]

Manna you can never have enough corn! At my grandparents farm we always had plenty with freshly made butter. It's still one of my favs.

I've had a down day and didn't do a thing except snack. I made a ham salad sandwich for lunch and then grazed the rest of the day.

My AK BFF called and is trying to see if we can get together in November. Her and hubby with be in Charleston, SC for flight classes for him.

It'd be great to see her but I might be having surgery around then.

We're just going to play it by ear.

See you guys tomorrow!

Happy Birthday Hiker! Mine was the end of last month.

Baking day.

Washing day also. Need to finish folding towels and table cloths.

Today was our weekly weigh-in day for our weightloss group. I lost 2.6 lbs. Got about 5 lbs to get to my goal weight. Last weeks challenge was no snacks between meals.

This week the challenge is to walk 20 minutes each day. Got my walk in after supper.

It took me an hour to water my flowers and shrubs. We are in drought conditions and temps are heading back into the 90's. Heading your way, Manna.

I did my bike warm up and then my knee and feet exercises. Also did my shoulder exercises that I did not do yesterday.

I took all of my unopened homeopathics back to the functional chiropractor and they will send me a check for them. I have gone a week without homeopathics and feel pretty good.

Bought a wedding present for my BFF's son and his fiance.

Called mom.

Sat outside and earthed for 45 minutes in the shade while reading.

Just picked up a gluten free pizza and will make a spinach salad.

Then reading and maybe a bit of TV.

Today picked zucchini and tomatoes.

Canned 12 quarts of zucchini and 3 quarts of potatoes. Needed the 3 extra jars to fill the canner.

Got my walk in after supper.

Folded the last 2 loads of laundry & put it away.

Gabbed on the phone with my nephew for over an hour. He wanted ideas for something to cook for supper. I suggested he put a meat loaf in the oven, with diced potatoes seasoned with his choice of herbs & butter, and a vegetable. Then while it bakes he can go do other things.

Supper was potatoes with browned butter, green beans, sliced tomatoes, fresh peppers from the garden, pickled beets and meat sticks.

Want to wash eggs to send along to the store tomorrow.

Want to rife muscles-to-relax before bed tonight. Seems my back n neck are so tight.

Manna happy belated birthday! Also way to go on the weight loss and exercise!

Hiker envy your outdoor watering. My grass and shrubs are looking parched. Good news about your better health.

Made a Sam's run today and picked up a rotisserie chicken for tomorrow. Plan on making rice and either broccoli or dry organic limas. Oh also bought a 6 pack of 3 different types of muffins for dessert.

Had a 4-berry sundae while there and I think it gave me a stomach ache. Felt unwell for a few hours but better now.

Had my leftover vegan black-eyed peas, brown rice, 1\4 sweet potato, greens and cornbread for dinner. Ate late because of the tummy issue. So glad I didn't have to cook.

Read a bit this evening so might check the news on my tablet before bed.

Hi gang
Sometimes fixing it is worse than buying it.

I did my balance exercises this morning.

Ran a load of laundry in my new washer. Seemed to work fine.

Wrote a thank you note for a birthday gift and mailed it.

Talked to my mom.

Took a brief nap.

Sat outside earthing and reading this afternoon. Very hot, though.

Fixing a salad and having some fruit and cheese for dinner.

Then watching Illini football and reading.

Well my tummy issue is a gallbladder issue. Not well today and have pain but still had Josh come over for dinner.

My gallbladder's acted up for years and I have to watch fatty or fried foods. I think my ham/egg salad sandwich and that ice cream was too much for me.

So distressing to have problems with food.

All that aside I enjoyed my time with Josh and puppup Juno. They cheered me up immensely.

Going to search for my heating pad and read a bit.
