Welcome to exercise thread this first day of February. Will the groundhog see his/he shadow tomorrow?

Lets keep moving and encouraging each other to get up and move.

It can be simple such as cooking (well cooking is an endeavor for me) or it could be walking, lifting weights, shoveling snow, shopping etc.

Tell us about your exercise or just tell us about your day.

Have a great week! [woohoo]

I watched the National Cathedral Church service.

Ran a load of laundry.

Called mom. Then called my friend in FL and had a long chat.

Had a lazy afternoon of reading and watching Illini basketball.

I made a tossed salad and picked up a gluten free pizza.

I have been out once tonight with the leaf blower to clear the drive etc. of snow. But now it snowing again.

So, now I will read and maybe clear the drive one more time if the snow stops before bedtime. We aren’t supposed to get much but I don’t want it to freeze. I am too afraid of falling after I fell a few years ago.

I'm with you Hiker in regards to slipping on ice.

Haven't done a thing all day. I should have worked on bills but just didn't do it.

Mashed up the leftover veggies and had some scrambled with 2 eggs and faux cheese for dinner. Had a rice cracker topped with fig jam for dessert.

Still making myself eat since on an antibiotic.

Watched a movie with Diane Keaton in it and might watch another one.

Hoping to have more energy tomorrow.

Watched church online.

Put lunch in the oven & crock pot. Chicken, potato filling & green beans.

Rested on the sofa for an hour, not sure if I actually slept or not.

Wrote a 3 page letter to an old school friend.

Did my evening chores and when I opened the goats barn door, the big goat was standing in the hay rack. If she gets stuck, there is no way I can lift her up!

It was up to 19* today! Wow that didn't feel too bad out there.

Added more seed to the bird feeder. They are emptying it at an alarming rate! Should have picked up another bag of bird seed at the feed store.

Happy Groundhog Day! Our local rodent saw his shadow so 6 more weeks of winter. I think we are the only nation where a rodent turns into a meteorologist one day a year. [Big Grin]

I did my knee and feet exercises and then rode the exercise bike for 35 minutes.

Listened to morning prayer and a podcast about joy as I exercised.

Called mom. Then chatted a long time with my BFF.

Took a nap after lunch.

Filled one safflower feeder.

Had a cup of coffee while I read and grounded.

Took the recycling bin and garbage bin down to the street. Snow is slowly melting. [Cool]

I am grilling turkey burgers for dinner and making a spinach salad. Finishing up the bag of snap peas, too.

Then starting a new novel and watching some TV.

Took care of the bills this morning.

Had another day of scrolling on my phone and watching TV.

I seem to have no energy.

I had a toasted English muffin topped with pizza sauce and faux cheese for dinner.

I'm already in my PJs and ready to call it a night.

See everyone tomorrow!

Did my balance and shoulder exercises.

Then went grocery shopping.

After I put away the groceries I rode the exercise bike for 30 minutes.

Made my usual call to my mom.

Then chatted with a former colleague for an hour while drinking too much coffee. But I also used the grounding mat while we talked.

Started a new novel.

I am having another turkey burger for dinner with steamed broccoli and a spinach salad.

Then reading and some TV.

Washed another load this morning & dried 2.

Filled the dishwasher & ran a load.

Baked whoopie pies.

Need to go out and do the evening chores.

Snowing again.

One of the boys went out to check on a neighbor, said he had to make a couple tries till he could get up the driveway. Its slick out there.

I'm planning to tread carefully as I go out to the barn. It was a bit slick this morning.

It warmed up to 34* today! First its been above freezing for a week n a half or so!

Want to fold the wash tonight.

Should water plants.

Daughter made supper: mac n cheese, hamburger bbq, string beans, & homemade bread with butter & peach jelly.

Wish I had something exciting to post but alas it was another slow day.

My sinuses are bothering me even though I'm on Doxy. Usually that'll knock it out. I do have one more day to go so hoping it'll work.

I had mashed veggies scrambled with eggs and faux cheese for dinner followed later with a rice cracker topped with my dwindling fig jam.

Hiker you're doing great with the exercise!

I started a new book last night. It's a biography titled Untamed and it's about the wildest woman in America and the fight for Cumberland Island.

Don't laugh because I only read like 3 pages before I zonked out. Hoping to read more tonight.

Manna I'm so glad you mentioned peach jelly in your post! I'm low on jam and peach sounds delicious!

Even though I'm not able to do to much at the moment I love reading the posts here! They are so inspiring!

Time to read! Goodnight friends!

AK--Hope you knock out that sinus infection soon.

I did my 5 minute bike warmup and then my knee and plantar fasciitis exercises.

I rode the exercise bike for 35 more minutes. Too long but I got caught up listening to a Christian podcast on prayer and didn't notice the time.

Called my mom as usual.

Filled one safflower feeder. I have one in the front yard where I counted 12 house finches fighting over 2 spots on the feeder.

They knocked all the seed out of the feeder to the ground. So, until they eat it off the ground or some juncos enjoy it, I am not refilling that feeder. [Big Grin]

Read and grounded. Pretty lazy afternoon.

Am cooking a chicken breast for dinner and pairing it with steamed broccoli and a butter lettuce salad.

Then some TV and reading.

Had a box of asian pears to do something with. Filled the freeze drier with Hubby's help. Canned 8 quarts and had enough left over to make a pear crisp for supper.

Folded a load of table cloths.

Filled the dishwasher twice.

Put another scoop of feed in the bird feeder.

Gabbed on the phone with a friend a little bit. She is getting started with a cut flower garden. Hoping to sell bouquets.

Fed the sourdough starter.

Sewed a button on Sonny's work shirt.

Supper was meatloaf, baked corn, french green beans, ceasar salad and pear crisp.

All was peaceful and ordinary in the barns tonight.

AK, peach jelly is soo good! Actually, I think I like most any kind of jam or jelly...... except the hot pepper ones!

Wow! The price off jams and jelly shocked me today while I was out shopping. I had to buy the brand that was BOGO, so no peach jam. [Frown]

Had to pass on the orange marmalade too. I bought 1 blueberry jam and 3 fig and ginger jams. I've never had ginger in jam before and hoping it'll be good.

I went to 3 stores today for groceries. Went to Walmart, Aldi's and then my fav grocery store. I spent more than normal because I'm stocking up on things before my surgery.

Hiker way to go on the exercise! I bet you enjoyed watching that bird smack down.

Manna so funny you mentioned pears, (Asian pears are my fav). One of my friends told me yesterday to eat pears everyday for my gallbladder pain, so I bought a bag of pears today.

You guys are cooking up a storm! I made a toasted English muffin with pizza sauce and faux cheese for dinner. Might mix a yogurt with some jam or frozen fruit for dessert.

Hope everyone has a wonderful evening!

AK-- The price of almost everything shocks me these days.

I got up early and did my balance and shoulder exercises.

When it stopped snowing, I cleared the drive, walk, porch and deck with the leaf blower. Not a lot of snow but I wasn't sure how warm it would get today and if it would melt.

Attended my Bible study via Zoom. Stayed after to help a woman from Kentucky who was struggling with Zoom.

Rode the exercise bike for 20 minutes.

Called my mom.

Read and grounded.

Then worked on the next Bible study for quite a while.

Leftovers for dinner and then some TV and reading.

Baking day.

Washed several loads of laundry. Folded 2. Need to hang up the dresses & shirts and the boys dress pants.

Hubby and oldest son reworked the goats hay rack and made it with a top so nobody can get stuck in it. Used an old wooden door for the lid.

Sonny worked at his car, then went to fix a neighbors 4wheeler.

Filled the bird seed container and then the bird feeders.

Supposed to get 1 - 3 inches of snow tomorrow.

The boys are going skating again tonight.

The pears in the freeze dryer are finished. Took 30 hours and 43 minutes.

You all have been busy!

I ventured out again today to get a much needed haircut. It's super short so should be good for about 5 weeks. Short pixie cuts grow out so fast!

It was 50° today and getting down to 28° tonight. I'm already in my jammies in the recliner.

I've been enjoying the autobiography I'm reading. I'm learning things about Georgia that I didn't know before.

This book is one of many that I bought from the library. It's definitely a keeper!

See you all tomorrow!

We got a bit of freezing rain last night, but it melted quickly. A bit warmer today but pretty windy.

I did my bike warmup and my knee and feet exercises.

Called my mom.

Worked more on my taxes. I still have one form that hasn't come, yet. (and not online, yet, either)

Read and grounded. Worked the puzzles in today's Washington Post.

Ran a load of jeans and flannel shirts.

Cleaned the leather recliner.

Boiled some Italian sausage before realizing I already defrosted spaghetti sauce for the next two nights. So, after boiling it, I froze it.

I will have that spaghetti sauce over rice noodles with snow peas and a lettuce salad.

Then watching the opening ceremonies of the Olympics that I taped this afternoon.

I did 2 loads of laundry and took the port-a-pottie out of the shed and loaded it into my car.

I'm going to Josh's tomorrow around 1:00 or 2:00 and taking things to his house. After surgery I'll be staying at his house until I can shuffle around on my own. His house has one bathroom hence the port-a-pottie.

Tomorrow we're planning on celebrating his BDay early. I'm taking him to his fave Mexican restaurant and picking up a small cake and coffee ice cream. Of course I'm going to pass on the cake and ice cream. If I find something with no or very low fat I'll get something for myself also.

Thank God the restaurant has low fat choices.

Spaghetti is one of my favorite dinners Hiker so I'm heading your way fork in hand!

Time to read for the evening. See you all tomorrow!

Snowed again today. Probably a little more than an inch.

Washed a few loads of laundry. Folded a few loads.

Filled the chicken feed bin.

The new hay rack is wonderful. Hubby had filled it up full, so I haven't had to give them any more hay yet.

Decided what all we want in meat from the pig our daughter & son-in-law are getting for us.

Went outside and cleaned out the dryer vent from the outside while the dryer was running. It blew all the lint & fuzzies right out! Was nice having warm air blowing on my hands too!

Supper was bbq chicken thighs, mashed potatoes & gravy, cauliflower & broccoli, and pickled beets.

Hubby took hay and corn up in the woods for the deer. The boys saw 7 or 8 deer inside the garden fence in the orchard this morning. Our fruit trees were growing nicely with the fence up last year. But this snow & cold is making them hunt for food. The jumped out over the fence when they saw the boys.

Made a quick trip to the grocery to get a few things I left off the list last week.

Ran a load of laundry.

Did my balance and shoulder exercises.

Filled the bird feeders.

Had a lazy afternoon of doing puzzles, reading, and grounding.

Called my mom.

Having spaghetti for dinner again tonight.

Then watching some of the Olympics and also some Illini basketball.
