It’s the first day of March and here we are "Marching" into another week of exercise. (bad pun) [woohoo]

We encourage you to join us on our up and down journey of movement.

Are you walking, doing physical therapy, running a load of laundry, shopping or cooking? All these and more count as exercise.

So, tell us about your exercise daily or just tell us about your day.

Have an awesome week! [group hug]

I watched my local church service online. Some many germs going around. One church member is in the hospital with RSV and she is in her 30's.

Ran a load of laundry.

Filled the bird feeders again.

Called my mom.

Put on some good ol' rock and roll this afternoon. And if you have music on you have to do a little dancing. [Big Grin]

Also read.

I defrosted spaghetti sauce before it got freezer burn and will finish it up tonight over rice noodles Making a spinach salad with zucchini and carrots, too.

Then maybe some TV and reading.

I made dinner today. I made a small romaine salad with peas, roasted pumpkin seeds and a bit of bacon. Also made a stove top casserole of mac and cheese with ham and a can of Rotelle tomatoes and a small pot of a Normandy blend of veggies.

Had my half cookie for dessert.

I felt better today but still having digestive issues. I guess it takes awhile for the body to get used to not having a gallbladder.

I'll be taking care of Juno this week while Josh is at work. He wants me to put her on a retractable leash and tie it to the security doorknob and let her go outside on her own.

He's afraid she will pull to hard and make me fall. I agreed 100% with him and I'm so glad he came up with this brilliant idea.

I'm still reading the book Josh loaned me that is a collection of short thriller stories. I've been enjoying it very much.

So now it's time to read.

I slept in a bit today.

Then did my 5 minute bike warmup and my knee and feet exercises.

Walked for 38 minutes. Pretty chilly and my hands got cold, but it is supposed to rain the rest of the week, so I wanted to get outside. [Cool]

Listened to morning prayer and the sermon from yesterday's National cathedral service plus a Christian podcast while I exercised.

Did odds and ends chores around the house like grabbing the ladder and changing a light bulb etc.

Called my mom.

Read and grounded. Also was listening to Jim Croce, as well as Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, and Simon and Garfunkel.

Took out the garbage.

I am having turkey burgers for dinner with green beans and a butter lettuce salad.

Then reading and TV.

Hiker we have similar tastes in music. I love the 3 that you mentioned!

I sat outside a bit today with Juno. We both saw a snake slither under one of the sheds and we froze. Needless to say we went back inside.

I think it was harmless, maybe a Georgia black racer snake.

I microwaved some Thanksgiving leftovers from the freezer and bulked up the leftover turkey with sliced chicken thighs and made some mixed veggies.

I had a cup of cocoa for dessert.

Also did a load of laundry.

Josh went to my house and picked up my tablet. So much better than staying on my phone.

I can tell I'm getting a little stronger. Still have a reflux issue when I eat or drink coffee but I'm hoping that will get better too.

I think I'm going to play a game on my tablet tonight.

See you all tomorrow!

Baking day.

Also have all the laundry folded & put away or in the baskets for the right person to put away.

Started snowing around 9:30 this morning and snowed until around 2:30. Had a nice dusting on the ground. Most of it has since melted, except in the shade or on north facing slopes.

One of my amaryllis has the first blossom open! There's another one that will probably open tomorrow. Two more have little buds peeping out.

Will need to water plants tomorrow.

I did my balance and shoulder exercises.

Took advantage of a break in the rainy weather and went grocery shopping. Rain in the forecast for 5 days straight now.

Then rode the exercise bike for 35 minutes.

Took a 45 minute nap this afternoon.

Went to the chiropractor and got a toxin release.

Leftovers for dinner and then reading.

Did some desk work this morning.

Got a letter written to a friend and managed to get it in the mailbox before the mailman went.

Mended 2 dresses.

Sorted through the lemon trees and pomegranate plants and took all the dead ones out. There are always some that don't make it when we start a bunch from seeds.

Baked the whoopie pies. Now they need frosting.

Rainy this afternoon & evening. Supposed to be rainy the all week and next.

Juno and I took care of each other today.

A friend of mine came and picked me up from Josh's so we could meet 3 other friends for lunch at a Chinese restaurant.

4 of us all grew up (as teens and pre-teens) next to each other or across the street. I'm the only one still in the same neighborhood.

We moved to Georgia in 1972 so over 50 years!

It was my first outing since surgery and it was such a nice way to spend it.

I picked up an extra meal for Josh while there so I didn't cook dinner.

Think I'll play a game on my tablet before bed.

AK--Your outing with friends sounds like fun.

I slept in again.

Then did my bike warmup and my knee and feet exercises.

Rode the exercise bike for 35 minutes.

Planned to go to mom's but the dense fog turned me back. May try again tomorrow if it isn't too foggy or pouring rain.

Was toxic today, so almost glad I didn't get to mom's as toxins make me crabby and tired.

I did call my mom as usual.

Went to the library and checked out 4 books. Grabbed a coffee on the way home.

Did the Washington Post puzzles but struggled today with the crossword puzzle.

Read and grounded.

For dinner, I am having a baked chicken breast with a lettuce salad that is topped with broccoli and strawberries.

Then maybe watching a little TV and reading the newest James Patterson book.

Did more desk work this morning.

Sewed a few more pieces together on the last 14 quilt patches. The last bobbin ran out of thread, so time to refill bobbins. I like to fill several at one time.

Emptied the potting soil out of the pots that the plants had died. Used it to put in the bottom of the planters to start sweet potato slips. Laid sweet potatoes on their sides into the potting soil.

Gabbed on the phone with a friend.

When we go outside we can hear water running again. Coming down off the mountainside and the creek has finally filled up again. It had been very low.

We had rain yesterday and some showers and drizzly weather today. More rain / showers the next couple days.

Need to mix up the sourdough bread for tomorrow.

I walked Juno outside 3 times and then we rested in the sun.

I hurt my neck using to many pillows on top of the wedge pillow. Going on the 3rd night of neck pain and headaches. Gets worse in the evening.

Tonight I used a tennis ball against the wall trying to work out my super tight neck and shoulder blade muscles. Also used an impact massager.

I'm trying to avoid taking pain meds because it'll be the 3rd day.

We had leftover casserole for dinner and I had half a cookie for dessert.

Still having digestive issues and not eating to much.

Hoping I'll improve as time goes by. I've got 3-5 more weeks to be fully recovered.

Other than that I'm chomping at the bit to head home.

Hiker that sounds like a great dinner!

Manna I have to repot one of the plants from my Mom's funeral. I hope and pray I don't kill it! I've already separated my Dad's peace plant from his funeral and they're doing well.

I just can't wait to start doing more!

See everyone tomorrow!

I did my balance and shoulder exercises.

Attended my women's Bible study although I left a few minutes early to drive over to eat lunch with my mom.

I organized her messy table in her room and went to the library and got her a couple of books, too.

Drove over there in light fog and drove the hour home in light rain. Free car wash!

Almost 60* here today and supposed to be over 70* tomorrow but severe storms are forecast for tomorrow.

Filled the car with gas when I got back to my town. Prices are way up. [Eek!]

Filled several bird feeders.

Rode the exercise bike for 30 minutes.

Did the puzzles in the newspaper while grounding.

Leftovers for dinner and then reading and a little TV.

Another rainy day.

Baking day - 31 loaves of bread.

The laundry is washed and the last load is still in the dryer. Folded & put away the towels. Hung the dresses & shirts on hangers and put them away.

Hubby has been planting more seeds and transplanting the first ones. Got another set of lights hooked up on another shelf for plants.

Supper was sweet potatoes, hamburger bbq, zucchini with cheese.

Watching Ryan Hall Y'all - he's live following the severe thunderstorms / flash flooding going on now in Texas and MO.

Juno and I grounded for 30 minutes today! I've been taking her outside to stretch her legs and get some fresh air and sunshine. I don't know who needed it the most, me or her! [Big Grin]

Josh and I went to pick up Mexican fast food. I ordered 2 tacos and a bean burrito. I ate just 1 taco and 1/2 of the burrito so I have enough for tomorrow's lunch.

Josh is still up (11:58 p.m.) grading papers! I chickened out and I'm already in bed.

I'm making spaghetti tomorrow with garlic bread. My romaine lettuce didn't last so no salad. At home I always make a salad, especially on our Saturday dinners.

I sure enjoyed reading the posts! They always make me smile.

See you all tomorrow!

Today was odds and ends day.

I did my bike warmup and knee and feet exercises.

Went to the grocery to get BOGO ground turkey and cheese.

Made a big pot of chili.

Cleaned the bathrooms and kitchen.

Had the ladder out to reach the top of the mirror in the bathroom, so went ahead and set the kitchen clock above the sink ahead an hour.

Cleaned out the storm grate.

Did the puzzles in the newspaper while grounding. Then spent an hour on Bible study.

Called my mom.

Ran a load of laundry-- my small blanket that covers the back of my recliner and some flannel shirts.

It reached 75* here and so I threw open the windows. Storms are now moving through and I hope they do not become too severe later.

I was all set to walk earlier but the wind picked up and I barely made it to the mailbox and back. [Eek!]

My daffodils and a few lilies and some perennials are up. Way too early for IL.

I am having a bowl of chili tonight topped with some cheddar cheese and also having a tossed salad.

Then reading and maybe watching some TV.

Warmed up here and we had some sunshine.

Brought meat in from the freezer to defrost.

Sent Happy Birthday wishes to our son down in Georgia.

Placed a grocery order to be delivered tomorrow morning.

Lunch was potato soup.

Peeled almost a bucket of potatoes. Mashed potatoes for supper and enough for Sunday dinner.

Woke up around 3 AM this morning and heard something fall. Nothing heavy, just a little sound. And then the sound of a mouse chewing. Came from the pantry.

Got up and got a flahlight and flung open the pantry door - there was a white bellied field mouse! Tried to hit him with the flashlight, but missed. He jumped down a shelf or two n then I couldn't see him anymore.

This morning I found the bag of corn chips he was eating. The chickens will get to eat the rest of them.

More desk work today.

Supper was meatballs made of sausage, Mashed potatoes, peas & tomato gravy. Bread butter & strawberry or hot pepper jelly.

Gotta go shut the guineas door.

I love chili! I eat it even in the summer.

When I lived in the country I always had to deal with mice too. Couldn't stand it when they'd get in the utensil drawers because I had to wash everything including the drawers.

I was worried about my spaghetti sauce because Josh has different seasonings. It came out really tasty and we're having it tomorrow.

I'm going home tomorrow and if I can twist and turn and mash down on the brake quickly I should be OK to drive.

Later I plan on driving to Josh's for a leftover spaghetti dinner.

Time to check the news on my tablet and maybe play a short game if I can stay awake that long.

See everyone tomorrow!

Manna---Sounds like you need to set some mouse traps.

AK--Hope you can drive easily.

I ran a load of laundry.

I did my balance and shoulder exercises.

Vacuumed the filters in my small air purifiers to try and keep them usable longer.

Went and got coffee--30 degrees cooler today than yesterday and a bit rainy.

Set my clocks ahead. Realized I have a lot of clocks. 12 at least including the one in the car.

Called my mom.

Read and grounded. I am reading a biography of Marie Curie and it is written in such a way that I understand the chemistry. [Big Grin]

Having chili again for dinner with a tossed salad.

Then more reading and I will watch a recorded TV show.

Do not forget to turn your clocks ahead one hour!

I just got home! Earlier today Josh brought all my things back to my house.

I haven't been staying here since February 12th and the house has a closed up smell. I can't open my windows but my security doors have a slide up window with a screen. I have those open.

I'm really exhausted from today. Josh took me grocery shopping and I was able to get around but it was hard. I couldn't get everything on my list but have plenty of salad, pears and strawberries that I plan on washing and freezing tomorrow.

Yesterday my left eye started hurting and the lower lid is red and a bit puffy. This morning it was crusted close.

I think it's a sty but I'm not sure because I've never had one. Bought a small tube of sty ointment and put some in my eye this evening.

That's about it for today. See you all tomorrow!
