Why does our hair turn gray as we age?

Well, apparently our hair bleaches itself as we grow older.

So hydrogen peroxide builds up in the hair, and because other enzymes that would repair hydrogen peroxide's damage are also in short supply, the hair goes gray.

The craziest thing is that I'm almost 53 and I don't have one grey hair. It's amazing. I have wrinkles, sagging body parts, aches and pains, but no grey hair.

I can't wait for some streaks of light. At 56, I have zero grey. Zero.

But my little brother went bald before he finished his first year in college.
