Here it comes. Actually, it's not completely snowing- it's "Ithacating"--kind of a wet sleet that freezes completely on contact, and builds up pretty fast, but isn't the greatest for skiing. Looks like there might soon be a pile of metal at the bottom of buffalo street, and a few less cars to worry about! [Big Grin]

hi dave!

it's going to be a terrible freezing rain/sleet/ice storm!

it hit oklahoma bad; my stepdaughter called today from tulsa. they have been without power since sunday; will be ANOTHER WEEK before they get electricity back! 160,000 in the city/suburbs.

southern iowa was hit bad too! same thing about it effected only 33,000 iowans in rural areas.

good luck; stock up salt for sidewalks/driveways. hubby fell going 20' to our garbage can. ice won't chip away; hardest hubby has ever contended with in his lifetime!

Another ice storm last night! I stayed home and canceled or rescheduled everything! Now it looks like it may have turned to snow and the ice turned a little slushy [Eek!] , or maybe it should be "ook" (instead of "eek") as they say...
Anyway I hope everyone is having a good, healing night!

Opened the curtains to snow on the ground here too. It snowed all day yesterday but none of it stuck.

It is snowing today. Snow on the trees. I like that.

HOping to get out and look about but not doing well enough yet this am.

We had a 20 minute blizzard this morning.
I was so excited I ran outside to twirl around and shout YES IT'S SNOWINGGGGGGGGG!!!
then the 20 snowflakes melted.

A month ago the weathermen predicted 8 inches.
It snowed like crazy, but we never saw it.
It evaporated before reaching the ground.

So now I've built a giant snow net
which I'll use during the next "storm"
I'll run along the ground
wave my net in the air
and catch SNOW!
