My husband and I have gotten crazy into debt since my lyme and babesia. We don't have any family members who can/would loan us enough money to pay off credit cards and medical bills, and there is no sight of a raise in pay to come for the working hubby. Very stressed out.

Has anyone here filed bankruptcy? If so, did it help or hurt you in the long run?

Your best bet is to speak to a bankrupcty attorney. There are postives and negatives to it, so the attorney can give you both sides.
