Why I Love Iowa in the Winter

When it's winter time in Iowa,
and the gentle breezes blow,
about seventy miles an hour
and it's fifty-two below.

You can tell you are in Iowa
'cause the snow's up to your butt,
and when you take a breath of winter air
your nose holes both freeze shut.

The weather here is wonderful,
so I guess I'll hang around.
I could never leave Iowa,
My feet are frozen to the ground...

The good thing about extremely cold weather is there is no school!

Today was our third day off school because of cold weather. It was -36 without windchill figured in.

It is nice to sleep in, but we have to make up all the days in June [dizzy]

I guess I shoudldn't complain-it's ONLY -10 here (about-20C)...
