A friend of mine wants to treat me to a permanent at an upscale salon that supposedly does the gentler side of color/perms.. I think they are supposedly chemical free?
The Salon is called Elon if anyone is familiar with it...
Are there ingredients I should look out for? ANy input would be much appreciated!

Hey Minnie, are you especially sensitive to chemicals? If not, maybe you should just go for it.
It would be good for you to have a fun, relaxing day with a friend. And it sounds like this would be a special treat not something that you would do all the time so your body should be able to handle it easily.
Just my opinion though, I don't know anything about the specific chemicals used in hair salons.

You need to know exactly what ingredients are in the product before you decide.
In just 26 seconds, these chemicals will pass through your scalp. These will be in your tissue, your liver and your lungs for who knows how long?
I advise against it. Sorry. I don't think it is possible to have a "safe" perm - chemicals that can so drastically damage the hair so as to curl.
I tired to find a list of their ingredients but come up empty. If you can find that, then you might cross check it at this site:
