So I was interested in the work Dr. Alan MacDonald has done after watching under our skin and went to his website only to find that it is virtually unreadable. My Lyme brain went on overload looking at it: http://www.molecularalzheimer.org/
I can not process anything on the site. There is just too much going on.
It's a shame, the guy seems brilliant but his website is um... I am speechless
Do you think he knows it is so bad, maybe he had a friend or something create the site?
The site needs to be done in a serial chronological order or by topic from top to bottom not side to side. As you get towards the bottom of the site it becomes slightly more readable but still an overload.

Maybe a quick email to suggest a design that would present more visually useful and less distracting, graphics, might help.

....YIKES
Wonder what that site looked like before the earthquake?? Posted by gridmonster (Member # 19280) on :
Holy Cow. It looks like a software explosion.

I agree, it doesn't look serious, just very busy.
It may be well intended, but I think a more calm, standard layout would look better and be easier to view.

I liked it? Sorry did anyone ever try blue blocker sunglasses here or even plain sunglasses? They may help?

I too think it is too busy and lacks a professional look/feel.
I came across this site before and barely looked
at it so I didn't even recognize that it was
research by someone I would want to see.
I noted that on the site it states
"The Research support has been provided by
Turn the Corner Foundation, New York ,NY
and St Catherine of Siena Medical Center,
Smithtown, New York" Perhaps one of these groups
could pay to have a better web design. What do
people think? Would it threaten funding if I
asked?

That is the most ridiculously layed out website I've ever seen. OMG. What s shame as his work is supposedly the cornerstone of UOS. No one will comprehend any of it. Posted by treepatrol (Member # 4117) on :
As long as his research changes our and many peoples out come I dont really care what his website looks like I think he is just slapping his research in there quickly he probaly prett busy. Hes on another website to it the hospitals where he works.

Obviously a true Mad Scientist without Lyme infection. Wildman! He is my favorite of all the B. researchers.
Would be nice if they fixed the site so the highly infected could read it though.
