They are already running the first ones over again and the way this station is, it will do so often.
I watched an episode today, first one and it was about a boy who had a deer tick in his ear.
It ended up, after him loosing his thoughts and then consciousness, he was saved by the removal of a deer tick.
No problem the doctor said after he removed the tick.
He said the boy will be fine now with no harmful effects.
No antibiotics even!!
He just removed it and said the poison would dissipate and he would be fine.
I can not believe how many people think that TV shows are true when it comes to things like this.
Many people think that TV shows use doctors to consult to make the information real.
If they did that then this doctor should be run over by a bus. (not advocating violence really)
I guess I am venting because it hits people that are permanently sick and makes us look like we are making it up.
The show is "Royal Pains" and the episode is called "strategic planning" if anyone wants to tivo it.
It kind of reminds me of every TV show that has an injury in the plot and the person has to take pain pills, gets hooked on them, then has to go to rehab.
I guess what makes me so mad is that many people believe this crap!! AARRRRRGGG!!!

That WAS a strange tick experience... and it did make us look rather goofy, didn't it?
I'm NOT happy with the inaccurate stuff on TV.
And I am so burrned out with medical stuff day in and day out with Lyme...
I don't like to watch shows that have anything to do with anything medical at all.
I use to love watching MASH... but now just the thought of the medical stuff in it turns me off.
Good to know you watched it too.

No, you're wrong.
The doctor should not be run over by a bus.
He/she should have to have a deer tick stuck in his/her ear and left there for a while, then removed and no other treatemetn given.
Then we'll see how back to normal he/she gets when "the poison dissipates."

Wow; Tincup, It's you! Just dropping in to see the state of affairs... Hmmmm, from this post it doesn't look so good! But maybe I'm jumping to conclusions, since I did not see the show! I hope you are doing okay, in any case. DaveS
