Yep lost tomatoes alot of potatoes. But sofar everything else did well.
Dont panic this fugus has been around before the weather certainly helped it take over.
At least a good freeze kills it and spores.
Com on mr winter [Smile]

I'm live in SW Florida so our planting seasons

are reversed. I've had Everglades tomatoes

planted in pots for the summer. They are the

only tomatoes that will produce in our hot

summers. They are very tasty but tough skins.

I just started my seeds for heirloom tomatoes

for our winter. I can't wait for them. My

mouth is watering already. [Smile]

I tried 2 tomatoes in pots this year for first time.

One died pretty early and never amounted to much. BOTH were transplanted later in life.

other one died just other day. set a couple small green maters and died right on the vine.

had a big green canker sore at base of stem. Read where lots of that going around this year!!

Lucky somebody else grows them and shares a few with me. Reminds me,,,I am going to go eat a kohlrabi right now,,,yum yum good!!

I can grow gardens and stuff 1500 acres at a time,,,and cant grow two pots worth. Does that mean I dont have a pot or a window???? wunderin being--just don--

Terrible year here too.

My watermelon and beans never came up due to all of the rain early on. I tried replanting and still got nothing.

My corn was horribly disappointing. Little stunted chewy ears.

My tomato plants had blight, although I never pulled them up and did end up getting some tomatoes anyway.

Did o.k. with cukes, peppers, squash(winter and summer), lettuce, and herbs.

A very disappointing year though.

I just planted some garlic in my raised bed so I'm excited to have something already in the works. Hopefully next growing season will be much more fruitful!
