for those us who like the larger dogs, please consider adopting a former working military dogs.

these brave dogs are often euthanized because of health issues and we need to stop this process.

sean hannity had a show on the wonderful dogs who give their lives to protect our young men and women. they are devoted comrades and deserve so much of us.

please goggle how to adopt a military working dog and read the wonderful stories of love and support.

most are german shepards but there are some other breeds.

so if you are considering a larger dog, please look into adopting these wonderful heroes.

they deserve our love and a second chance at life.

Most G.I.'s are trying to bring home the dogs they have befriended over ther. I would like to know a website that gives non-military the chance to adopt.

It seems to be a difficult process to bring these poor dogs home, unless your military. If you have a site we can go to...please show it.

We also have Greyhounds who are being killed if they don't perform.

Massachusetts, have stopped racing them, and I'm sure these poor guys need a loving home.

these are not dogs that the gi's have befriended. these are real heroes. they are the service dogs, mp's, drug dogs, working military dogs trained at lackland here in texas and serving with the units in iraq, pakistan, and afghaniston. well all over the world.

they guard the gates at the bases, go on patrols, and serve alongside our young men and women.

you do have to fill out paperwork but civilians can now adopt these wonderful animals.

so please look into it.

but yes, the gi's that do want to adopt their service dogs have to pay for them to return to the u.s. (and that's not right either).

so save a soldier. here is their website.

Designed to aid civilians in the process of how to adopt retiring Military Working Dogs Heroes.

Wow! Thanks for the link to a wonderful site.

I have taken in many farm animals in the past but I have always loved dogs....especially German Shepherds.
