October 6th is the date of the left knee replacement. I've sent an e-mail to the hospital to request doing rehab here at home at the state Veteran's Home which has a rehabilitation unit. We'll see.
I'll have to go down the 5th for x-rays so they are sure what's up with the knee. Duh! It's broke, dude!
We saw the "before" x-rays of the left knee and the knee cap is sitting bone on bone on the knee. There is no gap whatsoever between them and there is a spur growing down out of the knee cap to the left side of the knee joint.
"So my pain is not psychosomatic?" I ask.
"No, you really are in pain." says the PA.

TxC, that's great. Knowing how slow government/VA things can be I'm actually surprised that you are able to have the surgery this year. I figured that you would have to wait until at least Jan or Feb.
Just think, in a couple months you'll be walking pain free! You will feel so much better once you are able to get around.
