so is this place "DOA"? I see the forum looks active, but the homepage looks dated. The website looks practically the same with no changes since I last came here about 8 years ago.

Yes, forum is the only place that is current. I guess it took too much time and effort to do all the other stuff. Too bad, because there really is no other online place that those functions are done.
