How do I link to another post or another web site?

Thanks

Put your cursor upon the address line of the post you are wanting to link to...

right click, that will highlight the address link that you are wanting to link and on that menu that the "right click" has, click copy

Then go to the post you are putting the link into and right click and then click paste.

There are other ways, but, this is the easiest. Be aware that if the address line is very long, then the link will make the post where all readers will have to scroll back and forth and back and forth to read the page that that extra long link is in.

All the posts here, address are not too long and will not cause a problem.

It's when you are posting something from another site that can get you into it being too long and people here do not, me included, like to have to scroll back and for , back and forth to read a post.

You can do an extra long post address link by using this method that Dan has outlined for you, but, be sure all the things you are are EXACTLY correct like the brackets [] cannot be ()... here's how to do that.

The following is the exact same link as the one I put above, only done differently.

How to make a 'readable' and/or shortened website reference

There is even another way to skin this cat, but, these two above should do for now.

I'll add, too, that you should always go back and scroll back down to your post after you click the Submit Reply button and see if the website you linked to is one that is so long as readers will now have to scroll back and forth, back and forth.

If it is, then I suggest you using the links that I provided so as to avoid that situation.
