To include an image in your post:

1. Find the image on the web you want to include in your post.

a. If you have an image on your computer you want to post, you must first put the image on a web page or it won't work. In other words, save the image to your hard drive then upload it to the webpage. You can use an image hosting gallery like www.photobucket.com for free if you don't have a website already. You can create folders or albums there for different types of pictures. (Smileys, family photos, ticks, jokes, etc.)

b. If you are not going to save the photo to your HD and upload it to your own webpage, you will need to get the URL address of the image. Please note that if that website owner removes the image from their website, it will no longer show up in your posts.

To get the address of an image, right click on the image then click properties. The address or URL of the image should show up. Copy this address exactly.

2. Now that you have the image address, all you have to do is click the button BELOW next to the Graemlins where it says "IMAGE". A pop-up window will appear and it will ask you to list the URL address. Click "PASTE" because you have copied the address already and "OK". The instant code should result with the right tag.

3. Some websites produce the instant code for you so you just copy the generated code and don't have to click on the "IMAGE" button below. An example of this would be at these smiley sites:

IMA!

Oh, THANK YOU!

I have a better understanding now about the whole concept.

Last night I just lucked into some smileys that had the url code convinently posted when I clicked on the pic - it was easy - which is why I could do it.

But your directions make sense to me & I think I can print them out and figure this stuff out!

This will help me post pictures in my blog, too, I think (?)

But for you to go and find me a little bare assed smiley logo....I'm almost crying over here!

NO, IMA - I'm so touched by this I am crying...I'm weeping again. But these are tears of joy & gratitude!

Crying Into Tissue

I'm gonna go try to put it on my signature line - and if I can't figure out how to do it - I'ma coming back to YOU, IMA! CUZ YOU'RE the WOMAN! YOU ROCK!

Oh, it just occured to me - I don't know where you found it. I will search.

HOW CAN I EVER REPAY YOU FOR SUCH A PRECIOUS GIFT?

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU

Good job, IMA!!! [Smile]

DRW...You can click on any graphic someone has posted to find out where they got it! Super, huh!!?

Just right click on the graphic, then go down to "properties" .... I always write down the URL, but there's a way to save it by right clicking something.......i never could get that to work for me.

YOu might be able to just copy and paste the URL.

Happy hunting!! [Smile]

Now TUTU - When I right click over other's graphics - that 'Properties' box y'all talk about - I just can't get it - I don't even have it as an option at all.

Please advise.

NOW, to whomever - I have a question:

I'd kinda like to be able to put my feed burner thingy into my signature or on the left hand side somewhere, but I just can't get it to work when I update my profile.

I can put it inside the message like this:
With a Twist of Lyme
but feel that is rather intrusive, AND very inappropriate. (oh look I was trying to manipulate the size to make it smaller, and now you can't read a thing on it!)

Anyway, I don't think it will work in the signature line where I would like to have it, because it said it can't take HTML. I'm assuming that's HTML.

There are some other optional things I can change in my profile something ICQ or crap I can't remember what those initials were!

One thing called for an http address so I thought, "I'll put it there" and then I got a message that said:

"FATAL ERROR - CONTACT AN ADMINISTRATOR"

Well, I wasn't gonna bother an administrator if I could figure out how to fix it myself!

I didn't know how, but nothting FATAL seemed to occur so I was OK.

It ain't no BIG deal if I can't get my little advertiser thingy in there - but it would just be nice if I could do it.

Please advise.

Hugs & [kiss]
