Sometimes when I'm reading a "topic" I see that someone will post only the word "up" in a reply. What purpose does this serve in the post? Thanks, Paul.

Posts quickly get lost here in the back pages. So UP brings them back to the front page.

paul, many posts get BURIED before folks have a chance to read since there are between 200-300 posters/repliers and over 1,000 folks come here to read daily.
many do NOT get any replies since they go to the next page or page 3 on really busy days.
it's a way for them to be recoginized and replied to by putting them up to the top of page 1 vs. being on pages 2 and 3 where folks do NOT take the time to go look to see if there are more posts there posted THAT day. Posted by Paul M in MA (Member # 14630) on :
