Deleted programs I thought I never used yesterday.
Now, I don't have sound.
Anyone know how I can get sound back on the computer??

I did a search on internet and thought I had solved the problem
Jumped through all the hoops and then found out I could not use the program unless I paid a fee.
It was called Wizard something. Now, I need to delete it.
not sure if the audio is gone or 10 yrs plus speakers just quit.
Light is still coming on when I turn the speakers on.

What model is your computer? ie: Dell Dimension 8200, Compaq Presario 2600, etc.
What version of Windows are you running?

Not sure what model I have. I do know it is a Dell refurbished.
I have windows XP
Not sure if I deleted the program or speakers are no longer working...light on speakers is still coming on.
Tried to run a program from microsoft windows for sound but brain can't recall what happened with that.
Just know I really miss not having sound.

Look at the front of your PC near the top, it should have a name a model number, if not, it will be around the power button.

You can go to http://support.dell.com and click on drivers and downloads. It has an option to detect your service tag. Click this, run through and follow the directions. It will then either take you to the download page or at least give you the option.
Go down the page, find Audio devices or Sound, click the + sign beside it and download the one listed as driver. Run it, follow the instructions. Any questions or snags, just let me know.
