It's pretty typical for mainstream theaters to book movies 6 months in advance. While we'd hoped to start our theater run in March, a high profile theater in NYC offered to run the film in May, so we thought it was to our advantage to premiere at that theater. Most of the influential film reviewers live in these two theaters, and having a strong set of up front reviews will help us build word of mouth momentum.

maybe i should buy it and do a private screening here at my home...
