For those in a position to come to Oct. 5 Lyme protest in San Francisco:
We will gather in front of Moscone Center South, on Howard Street between 3rd and 4th. This is close to Powell Street BART station and Cal Train. There are parking garages in the vicinity.
If you can wear lime green, that's the signature color of Lyme protests. But it you can't, come anyway. You are welcome to bring your own sign, but we'll have pre-made signs for those to want them. You might want to bring a water bottle and a snack.
The scheduled time is 11 am to 2 pm. We will have several speakers, including Jordan Fisher Smith (the park ranger from UNDER OUR SKIN) and other Lyme survivors and activists. Andy Wilson, director of UOS, is coming to film the event for a future film project. We will also have other folks shooting photos and video, which we will post on social media as soon as we can.
I want to remind people that this will be a PEACEFUL protest. We have a legal right to exercise our first amendment rights, as long as we stay on PUBLIC sidewalks and do not block anybody's access to the facility. Moscone Center itself is private property, so we will not be entering the building or standing on access walkways, etc.

Well! We had around 100 people show up, in lots of green, with lots of signs!
Designated speakers read speeches, we had open mike for patient testimonies, an area rapper presented his Lyme rap song,
and Jordan Fisher Smith from UOS told us about having been invited to Oslo, Norway this past spring to speak.
Phyllis Mervine, pres of LymeDisease.org, described the humble beginnings of the org'n - she just talked with one sick friend. The Lyme Times started as two legal sheets folded in half and stapled! See, there's hope for small beginnings!
The LymeDisease.org truck drove round and round the convention center! And many cars honked!
I noticed that some of the ID convention attendees were listening from across the street.
UOS filmmaker Andy Abrahams Wilson and film crew filmed the entire event! I think some footage from the rally will get included in the upcoming UOS update!
